Seed Invested Secured: Origo x DNG Group
Origo Secures Seed Investment from DNG Group to Build Onchain Settlement Infrastructure for Global Pharma and DeSci
Origo, a DeSci-focused economic and settlement infrastructure built on Base, today announced that DNG Group has joined as a seed round investor.
This partnership is designed as a long-term strategic collaboration rather than a purely financial investment. Under the agreement, Origo will design and power the settlement and payment infrastructure for DNG Group, supporting its plan to migrate pharmaceutical supply chain settlement onto a global onchain rail. As DNG expands into new international markets, an increasing share of its transaction flows is expected to be processed through Origo’s infrastructure.
“DNG Group’s participation validates our thesis that DeSci cannot stop at tokenization, it needs real economic rails that enterprises can use,” said Bruce, Co-Founder of Origo. “Together, we’re building the bridge between scientific IP, incentives, and real-world settlement that the industry has been missing.”
To substantially reduce the structural frictions that have limited DeSci so far, Origo is using this collaboration to advance a fundamentally new model: a financial and settlement backbone that removes trust friction, capital friction, and settlement friction in a coordinated way.
First, reducing trust friction.
In today’s DeSci landscape, capital may be onchain, but “science” often remains locked in CVs and whitepapers. Origo addresses this through OSVN (Origo Scientific Validation Network), a seat-limited network of up to 51 experts who convert their professional judgement into signed onchain records. Every project review and every milestone verification is published in a traceable format, allowing investors and partners to see an evidence-based execution trail instead of relying solely on narrative.
Second, reducing capital friction.
Traditional “dividend” or “profit-sharing” models are easily treated as securities by regulators. Origo does not make direct profit-distribution promises. Instead, it uses a standardized, protocolized IP Marketing Claim and Tax Router. Research teams voluntarily declare and route part of their commercial activity into protocol pools, and the Tax Router automatically allocates these funds to validation, liquidity providers, and ecosystem participants. This enables global capital circulation and long-term incentives, while the protocol itself remains focused on orchestrating market behaviour rather than issuing disguised yield instruments.
Third, reducing settlement friction.
Even with research assets and incentives in place, DeSci needs a payment and settlement layer that genuinely connects to the real economy. Origo Bank and OUSD provide exactly this PayFi infrastructure. OUSD, operating under a 100% reserve model, serves as the unified unit of account for project launches, product sales, and biomedical supply chain settlement. By linking tokenized scientific assets onchain with real-world trade and logistics offchain, Origo helps make the journey from laboratory to market more stable, transparent, and capital-efficient.
“Partnering with Origo allows us to explore a new generation of settlement infrastructure that is global, transparent, and programmable,” said Perry, CEO at DNG Group. “As our operations grow internationally, we see clear value in leveraging onchain systems that can keep pace with both regulatory expectations and market demands.”
Together, Origo and DNG Group aim to lay the foundation for the next phase of DeSci — one where:
- Scientific and medical IP can be tokenized and financed onchain
- Incentive systems for researchers and ecosystems are designed for the long term, not just initial fundraising
- Pharmaceutical and healthcare operations gain compliant, transparent settlement tools that integrate with existing business needs
This collaboration represents an early but important step toward making science not only provable onchain, but also economically native to the Base ecosystem, where research, products, and payments can coexist within a unified, programmable financial stack.
About Origo
Origo is building the economic and validation layer for decentralized science (DeSci) on Base. Through its curated launchpad Origo Hub, scientific validation network OSVN, and settlement infrastructure powered by Origo Bank and OUSD, Origo connects scientific IP tokenization, incentive mechanisms, and real-world payments into a single coherent stack. Origo’s mission is to make science not only transparent and verifiable onchain, but also economically integrated into global markets.
