CHS Class of 2026 graduates TONIGHT!
| | This morning, the Class of 2026 visited the lower schools following graduation practice. All graduates paraded through the halls they used to call home, capping off their K-12 careers by showing younger Trojans what the future holds. Graduation is tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Grisham Stadium. CHS honors Camp as valedictorian, Russell as salutatorian
| Carrollton High School has named Rory Camp and Grace Russell as this year’s valedictorian and salutatorian, honoring the two seniors for finishing their high school careers at the top of their class. Camp earned the title of valedictorian with the highest grade point average, and Russell achieved salutatorian standing with the second-highest average. | |

| Carrollton Elementary School hosted families of kindergarteners for a year-end celebration on Wednesday night. Classes joined together on stage to sing tunes they practiced throughout the semester. Some of the songs featured sign language and dance moves that students learned and were excited to share with their loved ones. | |

Project SEARCH interns thrive at UWG
| Five Carrollton High School students — Kayden Hamilton, Jacob Lee, Geinerht Diaz Lopez, Zion Spidell, and Robbie Vance — graduated from the Project SEARCH program on Wednesday, May 13. Project SEARCH is an internship program that provides training, education, and workforce development for students with disabilities. Through Project SEARCH internships, students gain skills and work experience in various settings on the University of West Georgia campus. | |

| CMS eighth graders took a trip to Chattanooga this week, where they enjoyed exploring Ruby Falls and Rock City, touring the Tennessee Aquarium, and celebrating the year with a riverboat cruise excursion. Supported in part by the CCS Education Foundation, the annual trip is a student favorite! | |

| The Georgia Department of Education recognized Carrollton High School senior Jack Lenaeus during an awards presentation April 30 in Atlanta. Jack received an Award of Excellence, presented by Georgia State School Superintendent Richard Woods, for high academic achievement, participation in extracurricular activities, and plans for the future. | |

| This week at Carrollton Upper Elementary, students enjoyed exciting events, from field day games to snow cones in celebration of their reading progress this year. The last day of school is May 20 for pre-K through 11th grade. Early release times are as follows: May 19 - CHS only (12:30 p.m.); May 20 - CES (11:15 a.m.), CUES (11:30 a.m.), CHS (12:30 p.m.), and CMS (12:45 p.m.).
Memorial Day is May 25, and all schools and district offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.
GHSA Dead Week is May 25-31 (no athletic activities).
