Verify Halal allows consumers to make an informed decision when shopping for their Halal products or searching for Halal Restaurants. Consumers can either scan verify Halal members products or Search halal products and premises via search bar, Search bar also helps consumer to search via different categories which could be select using the filter option on the right side of the search bar.
An exciting feature of spotting halal product ‘Found it Here/Sell it Here’ is also added, through which consumers or Sellers spot the location of the product from Product detail page. Once user click on the Found it here or Sell it here, it will open a screen where user will see their current location on the map and by storing the location by clicking on the Pin button, user has to enter the store name and Confirm.
During Halal Certification body’s convention Serunai has signed MOU with 16 CBs from Philippines, India, Austria, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Japan under Malaysia’s JAKIM to connect with Verify Halal in order for consumers to search products from their countries as well.
Verify Halal app is an initiative under Malaysia’s JAKIM to build a quality halal repository, all the listed products are from certification bodies accredited and recognized by JAKIM. The status of halal and authenticity of the information contained are based on the guidelines of JAKIM’s Halal Hub Division, which in turn maintains the updated live Halal directory for Malaysia as well as list of JAKIM’s certified Foreign Halal Certification Body, which could be seen under Halal info of Verify Halal Application.

Good App with Room to be Improved

Assalamu’alaikum developers and review readers. As you may know we are currently facing predicament with lots of halal issue especially in Malaysia. I guess this is a good app and heard that JAKIM is recommending it. Hopefully more resources are allocated for this kind of app because it is surely will benefit the ummah more. Suggestion on upgrading/updating the app because I experienced a lagging while using it.

The application works well, but the ads appear far too frequently. It interrupts the flow and makes the app difficult to use. I hope the developer can reduce the ads or provide a more user-friendly option. Thank you.
