At HAVEN Coffee, our mission has always been simple: create opportunities, dignity and community for refugees and asylum seekers.

In 2026, we want to expand our social-impact programmes — and we need your support to make it happen.

What We’re Raising Funds For (£8,000 Target)

Your contribution will directly support three life-changing community programmes:

1. Barista Training for Refugees

Hands-on coffee training that builds real employable skills, boosts confidence, and opens pathways into hospitality.

We are planning to train 15 new people from refugee backgrounds in 2026. Our training model is based on 1 on 1 which we believe is very effective when you are dealing with people from different cultures and experiences

2. Stand-Up Comedy Workshops & Refugee Gigs

A safe, empowering space for refugees to find their voice, express themselves, and gain confidence through performance. Our comedy n'ights give them a platform to be heard and celebrated.

Til today, we have trained 15 refugees and asylum seekers the art of stand-up and organised 10 gigs with the name of Laff-Uccino where these people performed.

Moving forward we are looking to expand our social projects and for that we need some financial support

3. Visual Art Workshops for Young Asylum Seekers

Creative sessions designed to support emotional wellbeing, self-expression and community bonding for young people navigating a difficult transition.

About Our Fundraising Festival – Threads of Home

On 19th November, we’re hosting Threads of Home Festival — a community event featuring creative stalls, live music and a stand-up comedy showcase, all on a pay-as-you-like basis.
