Intermediary Barista Training 102 is a 3 evening workshop to understand the preparation of Barista coffee with some hands-on experience

A chance to get some basic understanding and training in the world of coffee and barista work. Training will be held by Usman, founder of HAVEN Coffee, a social enterprise serving ethically sourced, fair-trade, organic cup of specialty coffee to local communities with a social mission of breaking the false narratives around refugees in society with the help of Arts.This 3 evening course includes but not limited to; <ul><li>Introduction and basic understanding of coffee.</li><li>Different types of Barista drinks and the difference between them</li><li>Familiarising with coffee machines and different terminologies</li><li>Talking through the dosage amount and showing how to pour a shot</li><li>Explaining the use and importance of grinder and dial-in process to keep the consistency in each cup of coffee</li><li>Milk frothing technique</li><li>Hands-on practice</li><li>Payment card reader understanding</li><li>Hands-on working behind the counter and on the machine making coffees</li><li>Machine cleaning</li></ul>This course makes a great addition to the CV. The participants will also receive a certificate posted to them after attending the course Note: This course runs 3 consecutive evenings from every Tues to Thur from 17:30 to 20:30, so if you book then make sure you can come all those 3 evenings.
