Blogging has taken a back seat, but it's better late than never...right? The month of May is always a busy one and then I blinked and it's already July! I guess I should share some pics from my birthday too. Andy worked hard to make it memorable. I love being spoiled! He is pretty awesome! He started the day off making breakfast for me. We had a small party that night. That weekend he surprised me with a getaway to the Grand America Hotel and shopping at City Creek. It was great!
Gourmandise Chocolate Mousse cake!!! Seriously the best chocolate cake ever!
I'm pretty sure he miscounted the candles ha!
Some of my awesome balloons. There were plenty more but the wind was crazy and most of them popped outside.
This gorgeous girl decorated my porch and door with balloons and a banner etc so the whole neighborhood was aware of my birthday...I must add she drove from Orem at 5 in the morning! Love her! And she'll have a nice surprise for her 30th too. When Max saw the sign on the door he said, "Mom they made a mistake your not quite thirty yet your just twenty-two." Then at breakfast Gavin exclaimed, "My Daddy is almost to one HUNDRED!" Totally made my day.

Gavin had his first grade program, it was really cute. I'm so amazed how far he has come this year. He is a hard little worker and has grown leaps and bounds further than his resource teachers thought he would. He's just going to keep surprising us! Love that boy to pieces! We worked hard memorizing the poems and songs and he did great! Second row, in the middle. He usually gets really shy and wont even say a word but this time was different. Yay Gav!
So many legos!!!
CHEESE!
Gavin couldn't make up his mind
what kind of cake he wanted until the day before. He requested R2D2. I
did my best at the last minute and this picture doesn't do it justice.
Not my best work but he loved it and that is really all it's
about...well and it tasted delicious!
Happy 7th birthday Gav!

Let party number two begin...
Max's Batman party. Complete with personalized capes, masks and a whole lot of five year old fun!
Max requested a simple cake this year- blue frosted cupcakes. This gave me time to spend planning the party. We had a lot of fun games and the capes were awesome! Thanks to my mom for sewing them!
Happy 5th Birthday Batman Max!

The annual Quail hatching at Max's preschool. Gavin loves animals so I took him over to see the baby chicks. He was in love and could have held them and watched them all day.
Funny moment...I heard someone get up in the middle of the night and go in the bathroom. Then it was silent, the light never went off so I got up to check and found this. Too tired to even make it back to bed ha ha! At least he managed to get his pants up!

My baby graduated from Preschool! Such a fun year of school. He is more than ready for Kindergarten. He asks almost daily if it's time to go to his big school yet. So cute, I hope the enthusiasm lasts through college!
Max and Miss Cameon!
Back to the POOL!!!
First dive of the season!
My neighbor called me last minute to see if I could make a brain cake, Fear Factor style. It was for her sons 12th birthday. Well I went all out and had a lot of fun figuring this out. I've never really worked with fondant, or made my own. I couldn't achieve the color I wanted so I went for a "raw hamburger" color. The boys loved it! I must admit I didn't think I could pull this off, but Andy helped me with the maggots and and all came together.
We even had a quick trip to St. George, as a part of our journey to all the Utah temples 2012 adventure. 6 different temples so far. The boys loved exploring Snow Canyon and all of the lizard hunting in the red rocks. You would think we could handle remembering a camera...well the one time we forget the kids actually want their pictures taken. Go figure, bummer for us. But a great trip anyway.
