This is the avatar I made in Second Life. As I'm not a person concerned about fashion, my go to clothes are supposed to be convenient, comfortable, and effective to whatever I'm to do that day. I made my avatar do this pose as I generally do not want to get up unless my life dependended on it, especially during the quarantine. Second life was not that simple to edit as the UI reminded me more of using Unity or Unreal Engine to make a game from the assets in their own individual stores. It seems that this game is more "low-level" or closer to the engine so that customization can be almost limitless. From my limited experience in Second Life 10 years ago and now, I can say that people who have the time to invest to this game can create imagination into reality as Second Life can be formed to whatever form you want. Its only limited to the person's knowledge and ability.

I will show a few of my works through an embed Imgur album below. Although I am fond of these works, my current favorite work is actually a work of code that took several weeks to complete. In fact, its the Market Kurly website itself. If you have any doubts, you are welcome to ask the project lead at Market Kurly. I must clarify that I did not create the website, but helped overhaul the entire website from PHP versions 5.2 to 5.6. It was easily the most arduous and time-consuming task I have ever done. Not only did we complete the overhaul, but also we were also able to optimize the performance and responsiveness of the site which lead to better client interaction. This is by far the best work I have participated to completion which is now serving this country as we speak due to the virus.

Before joining Yonsei University, I studied in the United States and lived there since birth, so I identify myself more as an American rather than a Korean. I mostly studied programming and math by myself so I am proficient in both. In fact, during my 2-year hiatus, I was actually a freelance programmer for a few clients and a company. However, although my ability to program is secure, I feel that I need more education regarding the front-end or client-side interaction design. This is the main reason why I joined the Interactive Information Design major and, ultimately, how I ended up in this class. I hope by taking this course I will have a better understanding of information architecture, mainly through examples and also by trying my hand in architecting myself. As I have only do...
