About

I work at the seam between mechanical and electrical, where a decision on one side tends to break something on the other.

Oakville, Ontario

I build things. Most of my time goes into hands-on engineering — designing and machining parts for a competition electric race car, leading electrical on an FRC robot, and iterating drone hardware through three full hardware cycles. I was the first student on my FRC team certified on the Tormach 1100MX CNC mill, and I spent a summer at DRDO developing autonomous drone software with ROS2.

Working across both disciplines means I spend a lot of time at the intersection, where a design decision on the mechanical side breaks something electrical, or the reverse. That's the part I find most interesting.

Outside of build season I organize hackathons, mentor FLL teams, and hold a Training Petty Officer role in the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, where I've placed top in my phase four years running.

Currently in my final years of high school in Oakville, Ontario, looking for mechanical or electrical engineering work where I can keep making things.

Selected work

Six builds, 2023 to now.

Warrig X2 — Electrathon Race Car

2025 — Present
Role
Mechanical & Electrical Lead
Team
White Oaks Electrathon
Series
Electrathon Canada
Vehicle
Single-seat electric

Single-seat electric race car competing in the Electrathon Canada series. I lead mechanical and electrical — the rear drivetrain redesign was the focus of the 2025 season.

  • Replaced a failing brushed single-motor system with three Kraken X60 brushless motors sharing a West Coast Products gearbox at an 11.46:1 total reduction (12:60 internal stage, 24:55 chain stage).
  • Designed the motor-mount bracket through a full iteration cycle — a 3D-printed PLA prototype exposed a structural failure in the bolt pattern, so I redesigned and had the final version machined from aluminum.
  • Owned CAN bus layout and per-motor current limiting via Talon FX telemetry.
  • Authored the full Engineering Design Report submitted to competition.
