General Conference Weekend

Bryan's parents stopped by for a few nights over general conference weekend. Bryan and I enjoyed a quick getaway of pickle ball, mountain biking, Olive Garden dining and a hotel stay 40 minutes away to celebrate 12 years of marriage!

Fall Hike at Kenosha Pass

We missed the peak of the colors by just a few days. It was still a beautiful day with our closest thousands of friends also enjoying the Fall colors.

Apples Galore!

We stumbled across a great deal on honeycrisp apples at the store. We loaded up and then REALLY loaded up a few days later and ended up with close to 90 pounds of apples. It was a little more than I bargained for! We made applesauce, apple filling and dried apples. It was a lot of work, but very delicious and we are enjoying the fruit of our labors!

Happy Double Digits Birthday to Luke!

I cannot believe that a decade has gone by with our Luke! He's a great kid. I love his sense of humor, desire for adventure and his desire to improve himself. I recently had a parent-teacher conference with his 4th-grade teacher and she said, " Luke is going places, he's going to be a CEO of a company someday!" I'm not sure about that prediction, but I do appreciate others that see the potential in our kids and encourage them! Happy Birthday, Luke! We love you!

He requested and ice cream cake that we enjoyed for the rest of the week! It was HUGE!

Luke wanted to go golfing for his birthday. He invited his friend, Hudson, and they golfed 10 holes after school one evening followed up by a chick-fil-a dinner.

Lower Cataract Lake

We had an incredible couple of days camping at the Lower Cataract Lake Campground with several other families. Bryan and Doug went up early and were able to snag the entire campground for our entire crew. The kids had an absolute blast roaming the campground. And it was nice not to worry that we were bugging anyone but ourselves. The lake was only several miles from our campground. We packed in SUPing, kayaking, hunting/trapping squirrels (some even tasted this delicacy after a successful hunt), gaming, picnicking, hiking, eating lotsa yummy food and chatting it up with great friends. Love these Colorado mountains and lakes!
