Yay Christmas

I loved seeing everyone yesterday :D Thanks for coming over and all the gifts. It was great fun :)

This morning we got up at the traditional time, 6:47 and read Christmas. Then we opened presents for two hours. It's always been the kind of thing where one person opens at a time, and pictures are taken so it's pretty darned slow. Putting together Cristy and Nathan's puzzle added about 10-15 mins :P

I got GuitarPrasie (Guitar Hero for the PC with Christian songs)
Nintendo Power
Jumpdrive (needed for Programming class)
Wii Points card
Mario PJs (!!!!)
More cloths stuff
And chocolate.

GP was the main thing I asked for so that's awesome. Now I don't know what to ask for my Birthday :&

T_T

Image The above pic shows you what I have been slaving over; the Gamah Watch 2009 design for the reboot. Sure, it may not look like much work on the surface to you bloggers, but the main thing is image design and HTML.
I use PDN, and it allows transparency - so that's how I made the circular images and rounded edges. Also, three columns don't come in a standard Blogger template. So that was a bit tricky to add.
The hardest part so far was the Header. The logo just wouldn't fit or position right, so I actually took out the whole header code and replaced it with a 1x1 transparent pixl, and positioned the logo above it as a page element (can't add a gadget to the header without more tweaking).

Anyway, I finally figured out how to take all the Web pages off Google pages and host them in-domain, which rawx. Having a search box is neat. Embedded comment form and CU page is nice. Yada yada. I'm working on music and mouseover images currently. @_@ But all this stuff is fun to me. And GW will be totally awesome next year :D

Any suggestions?

<- Music

Check out my music on the left, I got this with iLike, which Blogger pointed out on Blogger Buzz (you don't see that stuff as much on your dashboard these days if you're a blogger, becuase the tab got replaced by the Followers widget >_>)

But anyway, the fifteen songs up there right now (titled "songs I like" :P) are as follows:

  • Runaway by Cartel
  • Mile Away by Capital Lights (cool piano part. I want to learn this, Mandy)
  • Out of Control by Capital Lights
  • Who I Am Hates Who I've Been by Relient K (one of my favorite songs by my favorite band. The acoustic version is better, IMO)
  • Be My Escape by Relient K (really popular single, that grew on me)
  • Going Through Changes by Army of Me (AoM is a pretty small band that I saw in concert, this one is free for download, so if you like 'em there's a link on the side)
  • Perfect by Army of Me (I liked this a lot until it was sang around me a hundred times)
  • Lonely Nation by Switchfoot (This song is better than like anything on their next album)
  • Stars by Switchfoot (meh)
  • Brotherhood by Flatfoot 56 (Christian, punk.... scottish w/e)
  • Music Box by Thrice (I <3>
  • Honestly, If I Fail, and The Minstrel's Prayer by Cartel (my favorite is If I Fail. M's P is catchy, and Honestly is what I first heard form them)

These people ar some of my favorites, I'd like to know which ones you like best. Leave a comment? Please?

And now I've seen it twice

^_^
***
'Just got back from Canada, quick trip with Dad for a Mex. presentation with a few churches in Nelson.

Canadians rock :P They're really nice people.

Also, I finished Breaking Dawn on the trip. I won't spoil anything, but overall it was pretty good.
I think they got gradually worse, the first one was probably my favorite.
Though book two of BD was really, really good if that counts. :)

Twilight

It was very, very true to the book. And probably the funniest movie I've ever seen - maybe being there at midnight was part of that but...

It was great ^_^

Life Currently

Working on new GW design for new years reboot.

Looking for people to take it off my hands. JFH refused (too busy) and thinking about asking focus on the family. Know of anyone?

Catching up

So I've missed a few days, here is what's been going on.

I got to spend the night at my friend Simeon's house, and we actually played Pokemon cards.
He had someone from his gaming club at college rebuild his deck, and he wanted to try it out on me, so he had me bring my decks over and we played about six times.
It was actually a lot of fun, but it was so weird remembering all the rules.

I used to be a big Pokemon player, and went to a "league" every week with my friends, where you could win "promo" cards. It was a lot of fun, and I think I would still have fun at the league.
I stopped
1) The league
-Because people quit playing Pokemon in favor of Yugioh when it came out,
2) Collecting cards
-Because I had better things to spend my money on (like plastic BIONICLES XD.. but seriously, it got expensive) and it was getting way too commerical. Wizards fo the Coast kept releasing new series with more powerful and expensive cards, and you didn't stand a chance against someone with newer cards. Kind of took the fun out of it.
But Sim and I have old cards, so battling each other was great.

We rented and watched Bee Movie, which is hilarious. Have you seen it?

And afterwards we went to a hockey game with my Fellowship youth group. Chiefs vs. Americans.

I don't really get hockey. Do people enjoy playing pro hockey? For the right reasons? There's so much fighting and shoving and punching and boo-ing. I don't get the fans either, chearing at fights and boo-ing the refs. I came back from getting food and everyone was standing and whooping, 'thought a point was scored but it was just a fight. >_>

It was fun, but just hard to understand. I don't see myself ever watching sports, but then again... it seems to happen to everyone, part of getting old I suppose.

Mom and Dad are on vacation, and Matt is staying with Al and I, house-sitting, not babysitting :)

By the way, when I spell-checked this post there were no errors. ^_^

The -clean- room

So I took two days and cleaned my room, all by myself, and dusted/organized/threw away stuff.I still have way too much stuff, and my rooom is pretty crowded... but it is much better. Maybe you can't tell from the pics (>_<) but it was a differences you could taste... and feel. And smell.Image This is my headboard (way less junky), my bed made (:O) and everything you see dusted off.

ImageThis is my controllers organized (cough), but most of all: No trombone thingy in that corner, no red baskets of misc. stuff, just a neat BIONICLE bin. And everything dusted.

Image

This is the top of my dresser, now with a little more figures on top but that clears up some other parts of the room (like me being able to take a TV try down) with all characters dusted.
From left to right, top to bottom: Hydraxon, Takanuva, Roodaka, Umbra, Maxilos, Icarax, Zyglak, Keetongu, Hahli... Ah well, another time.

Image

Sorry about the sideways-ness, but I stacked my boxes neatly on themselves width-wise, as apposed to length-wise which looked kinda cool but wasn't.

Image

And, perhaps the greatest section, a dusted/organized computer/books/BIONICLE/comics/magazine/CD area.

Tada!

My dream

A few nights ago, I had a dream that I got a car and my licence. I was driving home, but it got dark. I could hardly see with my headlights on, but I didn't know how to turn my brights on. So I walked home, and went downstairs to ask my mom how to turn the brights on.

She had just gotten off the phone, and was upset. I asked her what was wrong and she said she had been on with Nathaniel - he had told her to say hi to everyone else but hadn't told her hi.
[How dare you, Nathan? :P]
So I calmed her down and she told me to use a switch on the left side of the steering wheel. I remembered there being more than one switch, and said "what if I press the wrong one?"
She said they were "just as good." So I walked back to my car.

Born Again

Hey everyone, this is where I'll be blogging so you can abandon my old decrepit one and check this.

I look forward to real blogging again.
