Surgery Day

Hailey has been sick and has had an on going ear infection for the past two months. After being on 5 rounds of antibiotics, antibiotic shots and seeing a specialist it was finally decided to do surgery. Last Friday we took Hailey in to have tubes put in both ears and to have her adenoids removed. I'm happy to report the surgery went well and Hailey is recovering well. We hope the surgery will work and our baby will be a happy and healthy baby again soon.

ImageHailey is such a morning person. I had to get her out of bed at 4:45am so that we could be at the hospital in San Antonio at 5:30am. She always wakes up with a big smile on her face.Image

Christmas

I know it's almost a month later, but here is our Christmas post. We had a really nice Christmas this year. Since we live so close to both our families we got to spend time with each one. We spent Christmas eve / Christmas morning with my family in San Antonio and we spent Christmas day with Ryan's family in New Braunfels. This always works out well for us because we get to spend time with both sides of the family and we get to eat two Christmas dinner's. This was Hailey's 2nd Christmas and she really enjoyed it. It was so much fun watching her open all her presents. Here are some pictures. Sorry there are a lot. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.

ImageWhat's wrong with this picture? This is my family with Ryan. He should be taking the picture and I should be in it with my family. He wishes he could be a "Linder"! He loves my family!!!

December has gone by so fast. We have been very busy and I know I'm so behind at this blog thing. I thought I better post a few things before Christmas is here.
Last week Hailey and I met up with part of my family at my Dad's office to see Santa and Mrs. Clause. It was Hailey's first time to meet Santa and she was not very happy. I could not even get her to sit on Santa's lap. It was a really nice event my Dad's office put on for all the children and grandchildren of employees. I'm sure Hailey will enjoy it more next year.

On Halloween night we had a full house!! We had Ryan's Parents and all of my family over for some homemade chili and trick or treating. Hailey was a witch this Year. This was Hailey's 2nd Halloween, but first year to go trick or treating! She loved walking from door to door, but she did not understand the "candy" thing. That's ok I ate all of her candy this year. I'm sure next year that will be a different story. I dressed up as a witch to match Hailey and Ryan was the same scary dude he is every year! Believe it or not Hailey was more afraid of Ryan's mom in her witch hat then she was of Ryan with his scary mask and Hair. If you take a close look at the picture she is even giving her "scary daddy" a kiss. She loves her dad no matter how he dresses!! Thanks everyone for spending the evening with us. We had ton's of fun!!!

Thursday before Halloween we all got together at my Parent's House for some cookie decorating and pumpkin carving. Hailey loved eating her first sugar cookie. Thanks Aunt Julie for baking and providing the cookies. Hailey helped me clean out our pumpkin. She was a little unsure about touching the inside of the pumpkin. We all had a fun evening spending time as a family and making memories!
