Kids Don't Lie!

These past weeks since Miss C has entered our lives, I have noticed the fun and honest comments Mr. B and Miss A have been coming up lately. Thought I would annotate them before they got lost in the shuffle, enjoy.

3 days after having Miss C:
Miss A: "Mommy, you still have a baby in your belly!"
Me: "Oh, no baby, just some extra water"
Miss A: "So, is it a water baby?"

2 weeks after having Miss C:
Miss C: "Whaaaaaaaaa"
Miss A: "Mommy, can't you just lift up your shirt to make her stop crying."

3 weeks after having Miss C:
Mr. B: "Oh, yucky Mommy (look of disgust on his face), your tummy is yucky"
Me: "Yes, Mr. B, it is yucky *sigh*"

2 days ago while pumping:
Miss A: "Mommy that sounds like a cow beaver"
Me: "A cow beaver?"
Miss A: "Yeah, a cow beaver!"
Me: "OK, if you say so"

Miss A: "Daddy, where is Miss C's neck?"
So, our little girl has big cheeks and 2 chins, what is wrong with that?!

Mr. B's favorites at this time are "I know" to everything you ask of him and "What's your name?" Yes, he even asks us what our names are, silly boy.

When I went to wake Miss A up one morning she says:
Me: "Come on Miss A, everyone is waiting for us downstairs, time to get dressed"
Miss A: "Hold on Mommy, my eyes have to fix, they are all cross eyed like Miss C's"

Ohh, I can not wait for tomorrow......

Potty Time with Mr. B!

*Disclaimer for those who are not interested in reading about potty training, you may just want to skip this post as pee and poop are commonly used in the post :) *

Mid-January Mr. B got the idea he would like to start sitting on the potty. I obliged him and before we ate, went down for naps, got in the tub, left for school, etc....we sat on the potty. He LOVED to sit on the potty, but did not really entertain the thought to really do anything while he sat there. Now, knowing we had a third kiddo on the way I was not really *excited* about the idea of potty training a kiddo along with taking care of a newborn, I know Bad Momma, right!!! Do not get me wrong, I was thrilled at the thought of only dealing with one kid in diapers, but I was kind of happy knowing I would not have to deal with a kid who 50/50 made it to the bathroom and the other half, I was cleaning up the mess! Until, I pick him up from preschool and they tell me he went pee in the potty! WHAT?? A month of this boy sitting and doing n.o.t.h.i.n.g, he does not even allow me to be witness to this milestone?! Of course, we made a HUGE deal about this and got ice cream on the way home, even Miss A talked about how proud she was of her brother! Then,....the cycle continues of him doing nothing on the potty at home until one day he came in dancing and yelling "poooppy!!" So, we sat him down and with the encouragement of his Daddy, he went! Woo-hoo! Now, we can say this boy is 100% poopy trained on the potty, but the whole pee-pee thing, is a slow going process. He will at least go when he sits down, but he will not tell us when he is doing it in his pull-up. Since Miss C is 3 weeks old now and we *kind of* have a schedule with her, the game is on with his thomas underwear and getting this boy knocked out of the park with this......right?!

Who could not love this picture! Such a great Big Sis!

Keep up the good work Mr. B, I have no one to blame for your performance other than myself. I am amazed you have done so well really, all on your own and your Dad's encouragement, Go Dad!

Here are just a few goodies from the past month. They loved their time with Papa and I think he memorized all of our princess stories by the time he left our house!

ImageMr. B, this is how we will find you every morning and afternoon. Just hanging out waiting for someone to come and see if you are awake! Sorry to say, I am sure I have left you in your room for an hour awake and did not realize it, thanks for not complaining though!!

ImageOur little monkey! As soon as I brought this costume home, we have had a monkey in our house everyday since! You love it and we love watching you be silly.

First Haircut

It was finally time to make the cut! I have been debating for a while now how long I wanted Miss A's hair to get before it was time to trim it. That time came a couple nights ago. I was giving Mr. B his monthly hair cut and thought now is as good a time as any! So here are the before and after. I have to say, I am so much happier and I think she is too, especially when it comes time to brush it everyday!

ImageIt looks like we shaved the head of a barbie doll with all that blonde hair! It was a little shocking to see it all swept up, but that much less to mess with everyday!

Caitlin Virginia

You were happily welcomed into this world on March 6th at 3:08 in the morning! Weighing in at a whopping 9.0lbs, 20.5 inches long! I am not gonna lie when I was a little more than surprised you were a girl! After 7 months of people telling me you were a boy, I was starting to believe it. Glad you proved them wrong, kiddo! We love you to pieces and are spoiled with your temperament, love of eating and sleeping! Keep it up! Your sister adores you and your brother, well, I am sure deep down feels the same.

Here are a few pictures of your first week and a half in our lives, wow how time is flying already!

Personalities

Each one of these kiddos has a unique quirk to themselves that make me smile and laugh every single day! How lucky am I.

This boy will sit at any table for a good half hour with his cars or trains. He will line them up and one by one drive them to the end of the table till they are lined up again and proceed to the other end of the table. He impresses me up with his deep concentration skills on this, because everything else he seems to do is loud, erratic and usually messy!!

Image
Dressing up and playing pretend. Two of this girls favorite things to do, over and over again! Isn't she nice, she included Bailey to go on this adventure with her.

Image
Naps are 75 % for Miss A. I have been finding her in a new outfit everyday when I go to get her. This is one I found her in the other day. What impresses me is she fell asleep with those winter boots on!

Image
Being silly and playing together, I just love it! Usually it consists of Miss A having Mr. B dress like a princess with the gown, shoes, and purse. He obliges with a smile and will walk around proud. He got away with just sunglasses this night!

Image
Ahhh, mischievous! The kids have a VTech camera of their own (thanks to the cousins!!). It sounds like a real camera when you take a picture. While making dinner one night I hear that clicking sound and I do not think much about it until I realize I do not hear a single sound from Mr. B......that means he is up to something! So I walk into the living room to find him snapping away with my camera, saying 'cheese' and pointing it at me when I walk in, you little stinker! This is just one of 24 shots he was able to snap before I finally figured out his game. He will always keep me on my toes!
