1. We've celebrated friends & families weddings... Congrats to Celeste & Adrian, Charmaine & Mark, Kathie & Anthony, and Katie & Bret.

2. We're excited that Dan's brother, Matt, and his wife, Ashley, and our nephew, Noah, have moved back to Iowa from Florida. We've had a great time with them, staying at one another's homes and spending quality time together!
3. Over the 4th of July we both worked for Lynn's company, Gee Willie Entertainment, selling tickets & operating the inflatable games. It's Gee Willie's busiest day of the year! In the evening we celebrated with a BBQ & fireworks along with international students who otherwise may not have the chance to celebrate this great American holiday!
4. The next weekend we headed up to Minnesota and had a GREAT time visiting family & friends. Since Lynn's parents have moved up to the St. Cloud area, we stayed with Lynn's grandma on Friday night and had the pleasure of eating at Lynn's cousin, Michelle's, resturant for dinner (delicious!) Lynn spent some time with some of her high school (and now beyond) friends for lunch. After celebrating Katie & Bret's wedding we headed up to Lynn's parents house.
On Sunday we rode our bikes over 30 miles on the "Tour de Saints" bike ride with Lynn's parents, Leo & Di. Then we caught a bit of time with Aunt Betty, Aunt Bonnie, and cousins Heather & Lindsey! Visits are always so short! After a much needed nap (we woke up at 5:30am for the bike ride!) we visited Lynn's cousin Karen's family (her son was our ring bearer and they live and operate a dairy farm). ** Picture below of the kids & Dan**
On Monday we visited and had lunch with Lynn's cousin Katie, whose daughter was our flower girl, and the newest addition to their family! On the way back to Iowa we stopped at Melinda & Bryn's who also recently added a little one to their family! Lynn's boss was amazed that we could fit so much into an extended weekend, but hey, we're young and we've got people to see! We'll let you know when we're in your area! (Next stop is the Chicago area!)
5. Happy 50th birthday to Dad Dave! We celebrated with the immediate Bolin family on Dave's 50th birthday by going to Ft. Atkinson in Iowa and then having a fried chicken picnic and making up a fun new game called "Davey Ball", a cross between volleyball & tennis!
6. Just this past weekend, Lynn had fun wedding dress shopping and spending some much needed time with her best friend Kate in Minneapolis. Dan had fun being "single" again, hanging out with the boys & then getting to run track in the Iowa Games on Sunday with his family! Dan received bronze medals in both the 15oom and the 800m (Way to Go!) with other members of the Bolin family also placing in their events!
7. We're celebrating our one year anniversary this weekend. Dan surprised Lynn last night with a great date! Incredible Italian food on Des Moines' east side and then a very unexpected and very fun evening at the horse & CAMEL racing! That's right we saw 4 camels race down the race track! We unfortuately missed the Ostrich racing :)
