Spring Break 2018

We didn't really have any plans for Spring Break, but Sharla had offered to let us use her RV, So we decided a road trip would be fun. We thought about going to Death Valley but then we saw in the St. George news an article about a spring break challenge. The challenge was to go to 12 different places in SouthEast Utah and once you get all 12 places stamped on your paper you can turn it in for prizes. Well since neither Bob or I had ever been in that part of Utah, we thought it would be the perfect Spring Break. And it was!!

We left home at about 5:00am on Friday morning.

We were a bit surprised to see snow in Colorado City.

Even though the Four Corners was not on the list, we decided that since we were so close we would go there as well.
We missed our turn that we were planning on, so The four corners ended up being our first stop.

Image
The kids all thought it was pretty cool to be in all four States at once, there favorite part though was shopping at all the native's souvenir booths.

We Stayed at an RV park in Blanding that night. For some reason our kids refuse to share beds.

Max got the kitchen table...

Wyatt got the couch...

and Isla got the dashboard.
This was the coveted spot and the all fought over who would get to sleep here.

It was technically closed but we were able to walk around to all the different villages that they have.
This was one of my favorite places!

We had fun playing with the panoramic pictures by posing on one side of the arch
and then running to the others side before Bob got the camera there.

Wyatt got cut in half in this one.

I think Ollie's face got a bit smooched in this one.

Haha, Wyatt told us he had to poop so we started to head back to the RV. We were all spread out on the trail and Wyatt was in front of us all. Well when we came around a corner, this was our view. Wyatt yelled out "I couldn't hold it". Since he was right on the trail Bob ran up to him and carefully picked him up and carried him behind a tree. while the other kids looked on yelling " I can see the poop" While Bob continued to help Wyatt, I ran ahead and got some wipes and a bag for the clean up. Luckily none of the other hikers really noticed what was going on. Bob buried the poop, I wiped his bum and we went on our way.

Image
It is always good to have a good poop story!!

Image
Max and Isla decided to get out and run for a bit.

Max got a little behind

We made pizza for dinner.

We ended up going back to the same RV park that we stayed at the night before.

Image
We also watched a movie. The RV has an old VHS player. So we got to watch some old goodies.
We watched DuckTales, Robin Hood and the Goofy Movie, through out our trip.
Image
The next morning we were excited to wake up to snow.

Image

Image
Our first stop was Bluff Fort. The Visitor's Center was closed, but we were able to walk around to all the little cabins and listen to the pioneer stories. We also watched a movie about the pioneers traveling through the hole in the rock.
