The morning before we flew home Hannah, Annette and I participated in the Bolder Boulder- a 10K race that felt more like a carnival and a parade had a baby. It was crowded with thousands of runners, but the atmosphere was exhilarating. Along the entire course were musicians and bands, belly dancers, slip and slides, people using squirt guns on the runners, and a plethora of other fun and exciting things. I hadn't trained at all so it was more of a survival experience than a race, but it was a ton of fun. The best part was finishing in the Colorado University stadium. The runners entered in by the field and finished the race by running around the track to the cheers of those participants who had already finished sitting in the stands. The jumbotron was airing footage of everyone running by and it was so energizing! What a great way to end a trip with the sisters.
At the finish line. Do you see the crowds behind us?
Unfortunately we had to leave all too soon. It was a super fun trip with the girls and I am so glad we could go. Here we are at the airport for one last selfie.
Here are the babies saying: "We're so tired mom! Can we please be home yet?" Our flight had been delayed two hours so they were exhausted by the time we got underway. But we managed and got the babies home just fine.
