🎃💀Hooptober 2020: Film 18/67🎃☠️

One of the most visually splendid horror films I’ve seen. The use of painted backdrops and shooting the entirety of it on a stage gives you the impression you’re watching a classical play rather than a film. 

The anthology format worked for me on this one because personally I found it to be just a bit too slow for the mood I was in and had to view this in three sittings. It just kept putting me to sleep with how hypnotic and quiet it was. Seems like the kind of thing I’d appreciate more on a rewatch.
