🎃💀Hooptober 2020: Film 19/67💀🎃
What a fascinatingly odd little horror film. One of my favorite things a movie can do is change things up drastically once you’ve gotten comfortable. This started off as one thing and I was pretty into it! But around the 20 minute mark, the rug gets pulled out from under you and you have no idea what to really expect for the remainder of its runtime and I loved it.
For a story with such minimal locations, this managed to be visually Interesting throughout the whole thing. The third act began to feel a tad repetitive but the movie as a whole was so unique that I didn’t mind much.
Wishing COVID didn’t screw up my movie theater gig because I would’ve loved to have put together a screening of this during a normal Halloween.
