🎃💀Hooptober 2020: Film 20/67💀🎃

This has been on my radar for awhile primarily due to Matti Bye’s scoring on the release Criterion Collection put out. His work on The Phantom Carriage may just be my favorite film score of all time so I was curious to see how another 20s horror film would sound coming from him. 

While this music, and movie overall, wasn’t quite as engrossing, it was still fascinating to see a documentary attempting to explain witchcraft utilizing the technology of its time. There were some striking visuals throughout but the disjointed chapters began to feel a little long to me toward the end. Definitely worth seeing at the very least for its historical significance.
