Really enjoyed it this time round (2* previously), just goes to show that mood, setting and who you watch with can totally transform a movie.

Hooptober X 18/34 1 x Films from Hitchcock
When larcenous real estate clerk Marion Crane goes on the lam with a wad of cash and hopes of starting a new life, she ends up at the notorious Bates Motel, where manager Norman Bates cares for his housebound mother.
What an absolute masterpiece of suspense and mystery. It's been far too long since I sat watched it and had forgotten a lot of the detail. The twist is one of the greatest of all time and Norman Bates' final evil smile in the police holding room is truly sinister.
Favourite Scene: The iconic shower scene.
