Good return to form from Shiraishi after the rather disappointing House of Saruyi. Some of his best and most effective found footage terror here!

Excellent and fun revenge thriller! Looks great and has a stacked cast of familiar faces. The twins have great chemistry and bring humanity to the violent world portrayed. Also, Vivica A. Fox is referred as God multiple times, and honestly yes.

La primera mitad es tensa y brutal, sin dar muchas pistas hacia dónde va, lo que hace que el giro a la mitad sea muy sorpresivo y efectivo. Por un rato al menos, después se vuelve un delirio sangriento sin mucho sentido. No es que eso me moleste, pero pierde cualquier tipo de mensaje que quería entregar previamente.

Could have used some more bitchy witchy things at the end but it’s great anyway. Also, characters tend to get lost at times, specially the cop and Josh Brolin, but it’s such a fun (and eerie) exercise in storytelling and absurdism that’ll take it.
