The set and costume designs are absolutely stunning and hold up incredibly well. In the best of ways, MGM’s abuse of the Technicolor and their choice to go from the story’s original silver slippers to the film’s ruby ones really made Dorothy’s character pop a lot more.

Anywho, casting Toto was the best decision they could’ve made.

I read online that Curry Barker made the cast watch a series of horror movies, one of them being Pearl (2022). I can definitely see some Mia Goth influence in Inde Navarette yet she still managed to make Nikki’s character her own. 

Side note: that scene made shit a brick (ifykyk).
