rlly funny to imagine the story of the rando PA under colman domingo who had to find a VHS of EDtv. kinda put off giving this a rating the first go bc “what if the government was hiding aliens and treated them like palestinians” is an extraordinarily noxious idea but despite my better judgement this moves enough on second viewing and is just barely self-flagellating enough to be certified heat. definitely an evil movie when all is said and done, but we probably deserve it. history will not vindicate spielberg (and he knows it)
