Send Help absolutely rips! It feels like exactly the kind of movie you'd expect from Sam Raimi, with all the camp, gore, and comedy, plus a few twists that take it to the next level. Dylan O'Brien and Rachel McAdams are a dream team and so much fun to watch together. Genuinely one of the better times I've had at the theater, and a good sign for 2026. I hope this does well so Raimi can keep making them!

Sometimes you just need a fun, water-based creature feature to watch on a Thursday night to start the long weekend. Kraken doesn't reinvent the wheel, but I appreciated how much in-camera work went into shooting what otherwise could've been an ugly film. It looks good, and the Kraken itself (once we see it) has a great design.

I'll likely knock a half star off of this, but the Mandalorian and Grogu is about 4 years too late to the big screen. It's depressing to walk into a theater for Star Wars and feel nothing. Plenty of others have pointed out how ugly the whole thing looks, and it is. However, it's worse than that — it's boring.
The duo certainly has its moments, and there are slivers of something interesting, but it feels soulless. And Star Wars should never be that.
