I love meeting directors and then seeing the films they direct. It’s truly a unique experience to meet someone in two ways!
I've had the pleasure of following the production of Cash Robinson's Nobody Wants to Be Here, Nobody Wants to Leave in oblique terms and from several states away. And although this remarkable film is a collaborative work from a lot of great people, I'll be speaking about it here in terms of how I've experienced it in relationship to my dear friend, Cash. Ahead of this film's premiere at the Austin Film Festival on October 23rd, this is intended as less of a review of the film than an introduction to it; as such, I'll be discussing plot details a bit less than a more conventional review would, and I'll instead attempt to contextualize the film industrially and in terms…
I definitely didn’t want to be here and I most certainly could have left.
Nah. It’s not actually that bad. Just needed to get that line out at some point. All together a really fun time and extremely impressive for a first feature.
Really fun characters with some amazing cinematography. There is some acting issues and weird pacing at point, but really none of that doesn’t matter. It’s so cool to see indie film still thrive in Georgia.
Great job Cash!!!!
nothing more fulfilling than collectively viewing a peers work 😁 so fun! such a trip!
Great cast. I connected with the characters really well. The music was so fun. I like the balance of humor and philosophy. The ending was kind of depressing, but it was very beautiful. Great lighting. The ensemble cast was just incredible.
Anton…best character
