Christmas Tree

We have our first ever Christmas tree! We decided that it would be completely lame to have the "Our First Christmas" ornament on my mother's tree so we got our own tree to put in our room! Originally we thought it'd be a true Charlie Brown tree but my mom found this tree at the tree farm for only $9 and she had a $3 off coupon so it was a steal! We moved the cedar chest to the end of the bed and put the tree in the far corner next to our entertainment center. We like it a lot! And I think you'll note the very large Broncos ornament on the left hand side. By the way, it's about time we got it together. Go Broncos!

Home

As all of you probably know, Matt & I were living in a pretty nice 2 bedroom apartment in Cypress & we absolutely loved it! After a long and hard decision making process, we ended up moving back in with my mom for lots of reasons - none of which were we couldn't afford not too. It just helped us to accomplish all of our really important goals. We were very sad to leave the apartment though. We bawled like little babies when it was time to leave it for the last time. I'm even getting teary eyed just talking about it. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the be all end all of homes or apartments but it was ours & it was our first home. We've actually been out for almost a month now but I'm retarded and didn't have all the pictures arranged and on the computer. So now, we wanted to share with you our first home (shortly followed by a blog about our new room). So here are some pictures of the apartment.

I know you're probably thinking many things now, one being "Wow that was a lot of pictures that don't mean much to anyone except you guys." I recognize that. Also, yes Matt had been crying in the picture where he's in front of our door and your eyes weren't freaking out on you, we really did have a satellite IN OUR BEDROOM! Also, we did have one last final hurrah the last day in the apartment. We went in the pool, don't mind that it was about 50 degrees and you could barely breathe once you hit the water. We also watched City Slickers and played board games that night. It doesn't get much better than that.

BE A MAN!!!

Image
According to Matt, there are times in life that you just feel like a man. He's said this to me on multiple occasions. Like when he put together our computer table. It made him feel like a man - it's something a dad would do. Anyways, we realized that the closet in my old room was not going to accomidate all of our clothes. So we knocked out what was there and bought one of those closet organizer things. We hadn't done anything like this before so we asked my brother Jeff to help. Unfortunately, he was going to but it turned out to be a very busy week for him and he couldn't except for our last friday night in the apartment and I was NOT ok with that. So Matt & I borrowed a drill & saw and put the whole dang thing together ourselves.

Personlly I think it turned out pretty dang awesome! This is definitely a time when you feel like a man!

Our Most Excellent Wedding

They're here! They're here! We finally picked up our wedding photos from the photographer yesterday. We LOVE them and we want you to love them too. So I thought it'd be cool to try out one of those video thingies to show some of them. Enjoy!

The Educational Pages

I have a confession to make, something you may not know about me. I read the daily comics. My great-grandpa Shumaker actually calls them the educational pages. Anyways, reading the rest of the paper can be depressing sometimes so the comics always get my attention first. As I was reading the comics yesterday, I saw this comic and something about it just made laugh uncontrollably. Then I thought of how Lindsay would call Matt random names like "spazmosis" and I thought that I should share this comic with all of you. Enjoy!

I'm gonna need a tutor

So I realized that I didn't have a profile picture up and that was kinda depressing so I decided to get on here really quick and put one on. I didn't realize that really quick meant like 30 minutes trying to figure out where the stupid buttons were located and using the help icons (which I LOATHE using) in order to finally post a picture that I will inevitably end up changing within the next few weeks. Am I crazy or is this whole changing the blog to make it how you want it a lot more complicated than it lets on. It could be that I'm seriously just blogger challenged right now. We're talking short bus special here. Hopefully with some pointers from all of you, I'll become the ultimate blogger champion or something. Or at least able to post a freakin' picture in less than 10 minutes. Geez!

It's all Julie's & Lindsay's fault...

I realize that I begin many a title with the phrase "it's all Julie's fault" but truly it is and truth be told it's never bad! Anyways, as I read Lindsay's and Julie's blogs all the time, I thought "I'd never have time to do that" and decided that the time wasn't right for Matt & I to have our own blog. After all, we don't have cute kids so there go all the pictures. Plus we NEVER do anything noteworthy to tell about. But, frankly I got tired of not being able to write cool little comments about other people's blogs. So here we are, with our own little blog. I think I've created a monster.........
