Hey everyone,
So this is the end of life in the 'burg. . . at least for another couple years.
I have not been a very hardcore dedicated blogger in recording my many adventures in Rexburg, Idaho while attending BYU-Idaho, but I have enjoyed my two years attending the University and making the 'burg my home. I will return to the 'burg in a little less than two years. . . as I will be serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Germany Berlin Mission for 18 months. I will be entering the Missionary Training Center (MTC) October 27th in Provo,Utah. . . but until then I am home in San Antonio, Texas getting things ready for that exciting day. I am excited to start this new adventure and at the moment I am setting up a different blog for my mission. . . when I leave my Mom will keep that blog updated for everyone can keep up with my mission in Germany. When I do get that blog set up if you just leave a comment to this post I will make sure to get back to you on where to find that blog so you can continue to join me on my adventures. So until then. . . toodles, this has been a fun ride!!!!

Love has it's ways
Has some know my Grandpa Matthews passed away this past week. . . though he has been struggling some it still came as a shock to us all. I first heard the news while I was at work and though I only had a couple hours til closing I could not keep the tears in. I loved my Grandpa so much and anyone who knew him knew of his love and care for everyone around him. The last time I was in Washington was over Thanksgiving break and instead of coming home to Texas or going down to Utah my parents bought me a plane ticket so I could spend it with my Grandparents. I was so grateful for that time with them and was so glad that I got to spend that wonderful time with Grandpa Matthews because little did I know that would be the last time here on earth. I know I will see him again and I know he will continue watching over his family here on earth because they meant the most to him. I could go on and on about him. . . but needless to say I sure hope he is getting to eat all the ice cream he wants up there because that would be a paradise for him! love you Grandpa see you later.

Texas Thunder Storm
Going to school up in Rexburg, Idaho for the past two years has got me to miss the weather I have back home in Texas. Well since I am home now and will be staying here until I leave on my mission I just have to say. . . goodbye snow hello t-storms. Yes, being up there for so long I have really missed the good ol' Texas thunder storms, not to mention tornado warnings: dang, we don't get the up in Idaho!!

Sudden Death
WORD OF THE DAY: SUDDEN DEATH [Dramatic Voice] Example: Jessica- "OK, so you want me to jump on that little rock about 10 feet away and if I miss or slip I would fall to sudden Death
Me- "Why is that you can just sit there and watch your best friend fall to her sudden death and you always seem to find the easier routes?
Jessica - I was going to follow you, but I rather not fall to my sudden death. . . I would have jumped or put my leg out so you could hold onto it."
Adventures at Enchanted Rock is the best with my bestie!!!!!!!

So this past weekend I went to Galveston, Texas with my Mom and little brother to go visit Kimbery (my sister, David (my brother-in-law), and Lydia (my niece). We all spend a great weekend together. . .
Friday afternoon we went on a walk along the beach where we found washed up jellyfish and creatures on the shore.
Saturday we spent a couple hours at the beach and then chillin' at my sister's apartment. . . it was great.
and of course my reason for going to Galveston was to meet my Niece (Lydia) for the first time. . . she was born back in February when I was still up at school in Idaho. It was great to meet little Lydia.

Where in the world has Britt been?
Well y'all. . . I am back into the blogging biz!
Sorry it has been so long since I have last posted, but the semetser just ended about a week ago and I have been busy with packing and finals and all that fun stuff. But to give y'all a little run down of what else I have been up to here is a recap:
My last weekend up in the 'burg was filled with the spirit, laugher, and a whole lot of fun! I spent that weekend going to an easter party and then general conference (all four sessions) seriously. . . it's like a holiday weekend up there! Then Easter Sunday we had a big easter potluck dinner at my apartment for all of my friends and roommates who did not get spend it with family. It was fun.
I finished my semester off with final papers and packing. (Yes)unfortuantly I had to pack up, but it's all good because I will be starting a new chapter in my life. . . I will be serving a full time mission for my church.
I spent every last moment with two off my best friends (who where also my roommates) Katy annd Megan. We ended our adventures last Monday when my dad came and got me and we loaded the car up for I can take everything back to Texas and then went to enjoy some Big Judds. I was sad to say goodbye to the Budges because they have seriously become my adopted parents away from home!
After a week of traveling (we spent a couple days in Alpine Utah with my aunt and a couple cousins and I got to go to lunch one day with another best friend of mine, Tiffany) then last Thursday we drove to Elpaso where I spent a couple days at my grandparents house and finally Sudnay I made it all the way back to San Antonio!
Don't worry the adventures will not die. . . after all I still have this summer's adventures before I head off for my mission.
THINGS COMING THIS SUMMER:
--I will be getting together with all of my siblings and niece and nephews for we can all be together one last time before I leave on my mission.
--I will be going up to Portland and Rexburg for my Best Friend Megan's wedding. . . Katy and I are putting a bridal shower together in Rexburg and then the wedding will be at the Portland Temple.
--and I will be getting my mission call in August!
So stay tuned for more adventures to come and also check out my newly added photos in my april ablum!
