The Summer of Sara Begins!!!!!

 

Aren't you glad I am finally blogging again so you have something new to look at:)

In June I drove to Utah with the kids and met up with Kami in Logan.  I left the kids with the grandparents and Kami, Morgan and I headed out on our road trip to Cali.  It was fun cause wee made about a billion stops along the way.  We stopped to visit family, friends, 2 outlets, and stayed the night in Mesquite, Nevada. 

 Seriously! Look how full the car is:) Morgan barely fit back there!

 So excited to be in sunny CA.  As soon as wee got there we drove right to Angels Stadium to see Lenny Kravitz and U2!!!(sorry no pics, they are all on Kami's camera)  Bevin's cousin and her daughter met us there and we all had a blast!  It was a great concert:)

Wish I had more pics:( But don't worry I will make up for it with the many we took on the CRUISE!

Kansas Part 1- Medicine Lodge

We just went to Kansas over Memorial weekend, and if you are wondering why, then click HERE. My sis tells it quite well:)
We spent the first day at the lake with Gpa Jim and Gma Carolyn and then a bunch of the family came out the next day.









Carter loved to go exploring down by the lake! We saw turtles, frogs, snakes, and fish.
Blowing bubbles and playing ball with the kids.  The kids ringing the bell, looking at a tiny frog that Brens caught, and me, mom, and sis:)








































Gpa Jim tried the whole time to hold Avery and she would give him the look of death! She would not allow it! What a little stink. Gpa said he was going to start calling her PIZ-Myer???? Not quite sure about the back story but it is not a good thing.

Carter's Toy Story Party

Carter had a Toy Story party for his 4th Birthday!

Estes Park and Rocky Mt. National Park

Amy(Bevin's sister) came to visit us this past week.  We had lots of stuff planned and had a very busy and fun week!!!!

First we went to Estes Park and Rocky Mt. National Park. 

This is the Stanley Hotel, where we stayed.  It is know for being that place that Stephen King was staying at and was inspired to write The Shining.  They play The Shining over and over in your rooms!  It is supposed to be a pretty spooky and haunted place!

The room that Stephen King stayed in.  Since then many other famous people have stayed in this room and it is booked out up to 6 months in advance!

We spent the day exploring Rocky Mountain National Park.  We saw a waterfall, elk, big horn sheep, turkeys and lots of beautiful views! 

We also stopped at the visitors center and watched a film about the park and Carter got a cute Eagle hand puppet. (no pic)

We ate at two really yummy places in Estes Park.  One BBQ place and another was a sandwhich/pizza place.  We also got some yummy chocolate and fudge!
