Friday Night
after we unloaded we walked to find some food, we found such a great place! home made ketchup, mustard, Mayo and Pickles! Had some amazing sweet potato fries with Blu Cheese and Honey! I could have ate those for days! I Love going to Big Cities and oogling over all the stores and the options and the big four lane roads! But I also love coming back to two lanes and to slower traffic...I still miss my options of stores tho.
Cant Wait til next year!
Thanks to My parents for being willing to watch all the kids for 24 hours!

This weekend we also had conference, it was awesome! The girls sat so well! Didn't even need 40+ of coloring sheets! At the end It was so fun to hear the girls favorite talks, to know that they listened and learned and understood what was being said!
Taylors favorite was Elder Bendar's talk about the four wheel drive truck...she said why did they still get the truck even after his wife said she didn't think they needed the truck.! HA! She said well I guess they saved enough money from their jobs to buy the truck.

Can We get a new dog?

Image
The other day while I was cleaning it was nice enough for the girls to play outside. I had about ten minutes left and they come running in to see if  Grandma had any extra food around her house...WHY? Oh you know because the dog they befriended out side was acting hungry, and also can we take him home? Um No. His name is Duke I gather he is a neighborhood dog and very friendly, he plays catch and chases the girls... things that our 12 yr old dog is too tired to do. The next day while we were cleaning again they had hopes Duke would come back...I thought not. I was wrong we arrive and here comes Duke and the playing continues. My Dad is hoping that Duke will forget all about the girls and stay in his own yard.

I am trying to maximize my time while at softball practice...if you are not playing we are running, walking or skating around the ball field. Bay skated for her first time in her new skates in the outdoors...it took us a mere hour to do the half mile track...it was rough. we will have to work up to that half mile on out bumpy sidewalks. BUT the only thing that matters is that we finished!

Saturday we were lucky enough to watch the women's conference at my moms, gorge on Zaxbys and brownies with homemade hot fudge. it was amazing. Good food, great talks, so neat to have the girls there listening, learning, feeling the amazing love from the Women in the church throughout the world. I am so grateful for technology! I would have surely slept through the entire mtg with the lights off at the church!

Three weeks into math. Now its crack down and memorize formula time. I am totally nervous But I know that Heavenly Father knows I can not pass a math class with out his help...Grandpa Ensign will surely be assisting me from here on out!

Also I cant stop eating. School is the death of me. My poor pants are so upset with me testing their limits. Next week is the Bridge Run. I am hoping not to die.

Running the race

Image
Love the faces of my girls here...They ran their first 5k! Tay ran almost the entire thing with Bryce, So proud of her! Kay started off strong...maybe too strong and was about dead halfway through. Grace and Bay and I set goals and ran then walked then ran again. trying to do a little more each time. Until the dreaded cramp hit! Bay experienced her first cramp and I almost thought I would have to call Bryce and have him come pick us up! We solved our crisis by me carrying her for 60 sec at a time. I wanted to run, The whole thing. And as ridiculous as it sounds I thought Bay was going to be able to! Yes she can run 200 yards with me during the WOD at crossfit but perhaps she was not ready for 3.1 miles. We will continue to work up to that!
I am looking at this picture and thinking those color stations were kind of like the adversity constantly throwing things at us to slow us down, knock us off our game and tho we did not make it out unscathed we did survive, we were not knocked down. Some are more worn down then others but when we could see the light(the finish line) we had a renewed energy and pushed on.

older looking to be wiser

Why do people say that, older and wiser? I have aged since I posted last. The day came and went, it followed a crazy crazy week I wanted to just sleep the whole day by. Monday I volunteered for three hours at a consignment thing then the start of softball and so went the week, The RS weekday mtg I was in charge of happened(still alive thank goodness) I renewed my bus test(couldn't breath for about two hours) work, clean houses and back out for softball. In fact thinking back I cant even remember the week I just know it was crazy I was up til midnight most nights doing math and trying to keep my house together. We did get to go to the beach for my birthday tho! So that was so nice, nice sunny weather, Costco, big grocery stores. target and I got my math all done(by done I mean caught up) so my house is still a mess my floors are not mopped but that will wait.
Also I had this HORRIBLE smell in my car all week long I cleaned my car over and over again and I could not rid my self of it. Every time we got in the car it was like a dirty diaper was left hidden in my poor car. Well on Thursday night I finally got around to checking baylees Back pack and what did I find....Milk. Chocolate milk from school, spilled in her bag and then was soaked up by her scarf and papers and left to grow and smell. And to finish off total mom fail when I remembered that she had got a pint of Chocolate milk from school last Friday as we got ready to leave school from the classroom my mom was subbing in! GROSS!

Daylight Savings is not for me

All week I have been nervous as can be that I would sleep right through the time switch that my phone would not auto switch and I would miss the stake conference in Florence with L Tom Perry today. Last night I stayed up WAY past my bed time. WAY past when I normally go to bed. WAY past when I should have gone to bed. And do you know what happened....Jen Text me at 725 and said we are on our way. OH SHOOT! Everyone up brush your teeth get dressed and some how we did it all dressed not fed no hair fixed but we made it out the door. And I became that lady kids hair at church. Was really cool to have Elder Perry there...just to give a talk.

Tomorrow starts softball. AKA crazy time. Baylee is playing this year and Kaylee has decided instead of playing she wants to run laps with me....we will see.

Math is kicking my BUTT. I hate it.

I am also starting to rebel against cleaning my own house. When I walk away from houses I clean I have no desire to clean my own...perhaps there is a cleaning lady that charges half of what I do and I can pay her?

Today I let Kaylee and Taylor run the kitchen it is bake sale time at school and so I thought hey they can make their own cookies. Kaylees poor cookies were really good....but totally flat and broke as I tried to get them off the pan. Taylor added double baking soda and didn't mix it all the way so some cookies are safe others not so much. Now that it is all cleaned up I will make brownies and go to bed.
Does anyone else feel like they spend the entire Sunday in the kitchen? Sunday does not equal Fun day.
