BTS member Jimin has obliterated streaming records with his solo single 'Promise'.

SoundCloud confirmed on Wednesday (January 3) that the track broke the site's record for the best first-day debut ever after he shared it on December 31.

According to the streaming site, Jimin's song was streamed 8.5 million times in its first 24 hours of being made available.

Unsurprisingly then, 'Promise' has held the No. 1 spot on both SoundCloud's Top 50 and New & Hot charts for 48 hours.

By January 3, the song had over 15 million hits on the sharing platform, listened to by audiences all over the world.

BTS also broke a massive YouTube milestone by dethroning Taylor Swift's record for the most-streamed music video debut.

The group's music video for 'Idol' was streamed up to 45 million times in its first 24 hours, smashing 'Look What You Made Me Do's' 43.2 million.
