BAFC Badge LogoWe are delighted to announce the appointment of ex-Bishop player Andy Toman as the new manager of BAFC along with his Assistant Ian McGuckin.

As both ex professional footballers and UEFA qualified coaches, they bring a wealth of experience to the club and we are all looking forward to working with them.

Andy is ex Lincoln City, Hartlepool and Darlington, with Ian being ex Fulham, Oxford and Hartlepool. Therefore, showcasing their familiarity with high standards and expectations, which we are sure will be implemented upon the squad.

Bishop Auckland Chairman, Steve Coulthard, offered his opinion on the appointment, with some reasoning behind it.

I am delighted for Andy to join BAFC as manager as I have personally known Andy for over 30 years, having played against him and as a FA mentor for Durham FA . He has always been interested in the job, and has left his job in Norway to join us over here in our time of need and himself and Ian will will bring a wealth of experience and stability to the club I am sure!

Andy is very keen to work with our reserve/ U23 team as well as our U18 and other 20 junior teams we are attached to.

Can I thank all the other people who expressed an interest in the job and wish them all good luck.
