Graduation From Miss Cami's Preschool

I know I know its pretty cheesy but too adorable NOT to post. Grey does NOT enjoy performing and singing in front of a crowd. He didn't misbehave he just chose not to sing, or smile, or participate very much in any way. Grey did have a few "parts" like being the tree in the Fall or being a policeman. But he for sure did NOT sing or smile while standing there. It was adorable to watch. All he really cared about was the balloon and cookie he got at the end! Red Butte Gardens....

Trumps the Dallas Arboretum. Sorry but its true. As a student at the U, I get in free and our friends Alyssia and Tiago wanted to meet us there. It is beautiful! If only I was a stay-at-home mom and we could get a season pass and go every single day-seriously! I think I am putting a season pass on my Christmas wish list to enjoy next spring and summer. We played, hiked, picnicked, and enjoyed the flowers. It is now one of my top fav things to do around home. Last Day of 3rd Grade!

3rd grade was a crazy year. Lucy was involved with plays and gymnastics and I was overwhelmed! But we did it! We made it! Lucy finished her last quarter with a 3 in keyboarding!!!! She hates typing and usually refused to do it. It was the first time Lucy has hated anything to do with school. It was awful. But we made it. To celebrate her last day, I let Grey and Lucy choose one friend (Ruby Swenson and Jake Adamson) to take to the trampoline park. It was awesome. Image Image She will always be my little baby girl... To Tortoise or Not to Tortoise...That is the Question

Image
Lucy has wanted a pet for several years now and I have ALWAYS had great reasons NOT to get one. But yesterday she came up with the idea of getting a turtle. Seriously. So smart mom that I am I decided to take her to the pet store and told her she HAD to hold one before I would even consider it. So we went and she did (they don't carry box turtles so we are now looking at a Russian tortoise). So what now?! My biggest concern is that they can live for up to 50 years which means I could be 80 something years old with a 50 year-old tortoise. SERIOUSLY?!
