Center for Systems & Synthetic Biology (UC San Francisco) hosts ‘Science & Cooking’ lecture

The UCSF Center for Systems & Synthetic Biology will host the Chauncey D. Leake lecture on ‘Science & Cooking,’ featuring Professor David Weitz of Harvard University, and James Beard Award winner Corey Lee, chef and owner of Benu restaurant, on Monday, April 2nd at 4pm. Weitz and Lee will discuss the parallel science behind modern cooking and bioscience, and include demos of some typical and unusual emulsions and gels. The 2012 Chauncey D. Leake Lecture is co-sponsored by the UCSF Departments of Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology and Anesthesia.
