Sandra Kathleen Henrichsen was born this morning (April 4th) at 5:20 am, weighing 7 lb 12 oz and is 20in long. She and her mother are doing well.

Watching General Conference

We watched most of general conference this weekend. Yesterday we watched the longest session ever. It was long for us because of a slow internet connection preventing us from downloading or getting a reasonable speed while streaming.

Mama! The yucky parts are yummy!

Birdman has a kind of crepe in his hand - in addition to the flour and egg base it also has zucchini in it.  It is part of the cuisine our Ayi introduced us to.  Even when she is not cooking the girls or Pooka sometimes prepare it.

The title of the post is a quote.  The 'Yucky' parts Birdman is referring to are the dark portions seared by the pan.  At the start of the meal when he saw the crepes he grabbed a quarter (as it is typically served) and, waving it in the air, announced his approval by declaring the yucky parts yummy.
