We are C3 Impact

C3 Impact is the umbrella for all Social Impact and Community outreach from The C3 Church. We deliver a number of projects and programmes to support people in the Church Community and the wider local community. The main aim of Impact is to see people experience health and wholeness through physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs being met.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

  • The Community Market is C3 Impact’s community pantry model: a dignified, choice‑based alternative to traditional food aid, designed for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. Rather than receiving pre‑packed parcels, households shop for the items they actually want and need, just as they would in any grocery store.

Our pricing structure is intentionally simple and accessible:
    - Up to 11kg for £4
    - Up to 20kg for £8
    - Eggs for £1

This weight‑based model gives people autonomy, reduces waste, and ensures fairness across different household sizes and dietary needs.

    How We Source Food

The Community Market is sustained through a blend of grant funding, support from The C3 Church, and a strong network of local food donations. Our volunteer team collects donations seven days a week, and we maintain multiple community drop‑off points where individuals can contribute.

Because of this, our shelves often look like any high‑street grocery shop: with cereals, pasta, rice, tinned goods, milk, eggs, fresh produce, and more, though availability naturally varies with donations.

We are continually seeking donations of:
    - Tinned food
    - Rice and pasta
    - Cereal
    - Long‑life milk
    - Tea and coffee
    - Toiletries
    - Other non‑perishable items

These staples help us keep the market reliable and well‑stocked for the households who depend on it.

    Opening Times

The Community Market is run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers.
    Current opening hours:
    - Wednesdays: 11:30–13:30
    - Sundays: 14:30–15:30

We are also preparing to launch Friday sessions from 24th July, in order to offer more flexibility and keep up with the growing demand in the community.
Our Heart: Belonging, Dignity, and Wholeness

While food provision is at the core of what we do, the Community Market is ultimately about people, not products. We aim to create a space where individuals feel seen, valued, and welcomed: a place where community is built and dignity is protected.

This aligns with C3 Impact’s wider vision:
To journey with people to a place of health and wholeness- mentally, physically, relationally, emotionally, and spiritually.

The Community Market is one of the key ways we live out that vision in a practical, relational, and deeply human way.

  • Early Intervention for children in school who can find life and school tough.  The aim of the TLG Early Intervention programme is to equip volunteers from churches to go into their local schools and provide one-to-one coaching for children finding it hard to cope. Every volunteer spends an hour each week with their child - sharing fun with them, listening to them and showing them that somebody cares about them. The transformational impact of this consistent trauma-informed approach is immeasurable. TLG Early intervention is a proactive approach that helps prevent adverse outcomes in struggling children and develops resilience and emotional regulation. https://www.tlg.org.uk
