Here is a silly forward I got the other day and thought I would share... So you may have already heard this one.

On the first day, God created the dog and said:

'Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years.'

The dog said: 'That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?'

So God agreed.

On the second day, God created the monkey and said:
'Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span.'

The monkey said: ' Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the Dog did?'

And God agreed.

On the third day, God created the cow and said:

'You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.'

The cow said: 'That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?'

And God agreed again.

On the fourth day, God created man and said:
'Eat, sleep, play , marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years.'

But man said: 'Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?'

'Okay,' said God, 'You asked for it.'
So that is why for our first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy yourselves. For the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

Life has now been explained to you.

Anniversary

It's been four years. I really can't believe it, because it seems like yesterday. I love that so many things are the same as the day we got married.

Image I love that we still goof off and tease each other.

Image I love that we still look at each other with love.
ImageMost of all I love that we are going to be together forever.

I do kinda wish I was going to mexico tomorrow. We had so much fun. Here is a piece of our blast from the past.

Image Everywhere we would go people would taunt us "honeymooners" (honimooniers--with the spanish accent)

Stuff

Image My two sweethearts on mothers day. Addy's present to me was letting me blow dry her hair with volume galore. She looked stunning and I was so proud of her to hold still so long for me.

Image She was so sweet. She kept saying happy birthday instead of mothers day. She needs her own heels so she can be a diva without stealing my shoes all the time.

Image What's Addy been up to?........
Image Dressing up Max in a princess crown.

Image Playing too hard to function.

Giggling with girls having so much fun.

Image A little bit of yoga before heading off to the pool.

ImageAnd having fun with Kade on the water.

Our new favorite pass time. Surfing the waves of Lake Houston while we karaoke to awesome tunes. :)

Happy Mother's Day

Caleb here.. So I never write on "our" blog and honestly I usually tease my friends when they write on their family blog. So for my guys friends feel free to tease all you want (I will be accepting text messages and even comments).

I wanted to show s few pictures of Diana and Addy (as if you don't already see enough). Diana is an amazing mother and wife and I hope you can see the love she has in her eyes for Addy in these few pictures.

As you can see from the pictures Diana loves her little girl. There is nothing more rewarding to me as a Dad and Husband to see the relationship they have. Most days Addy will be telling me something and I usually don't understand all of it, Diana just jumps in and says "yeah daddy can you do (whatever Addy is trying to communicate to me)." That is the love and understanding that only a mother can have. It is just awesome to see how much they get each other. She loves being a mom and does an amazing job at it.
I hope all mothers and women had a great mother's day yesterday.

I hate ants

My poor Addy got viciously attacked by ants at the park last week. Her foot was so swoolen she didn't walk for an entire day. She had over 25 on one foot and just a few on the other. We went to walk in sand and she started shaking in fear saying "ant house, ant house."ImageImage

Don't feel bad for killing fire ants, humans are their only predator. They are so wild it makes me think the ant scene in the last indiana jones movie is quite possible.
