I am blessed to have some pretty incredible women as friends. We love any excuse to get together, celebrate and eat yummy treats. As a birthday surprise for two of them, Emily and Kristi, Marisa organized an overnight retreat to her parent's gorgeous Deer Valley cabin for all of us! We enjoyed the serene, summer weather for a few minutes walk, hung out on the deck playing Scum (where I was the Scum all too often!), and waited for two more girls to join us. Late in the evening, we snarfed up a yummy birthday cake (made by Marisa), glittered up the toes, treated ourselves to a crazy, plastic-looking facial and sucked all the toxins out of our feet with some funky pedicure pads (good times, I'm telling you!) And, of course, as is always the case when a bunch of energetic women are set free together with no husband or children in sight, we laughed 'till it hurt, ate 'till we were sick and stayed up talking 'till no one made sense anymore. We finished off the outing with a lovely breakfast in Park City and a quick shopping trip. All too soon we were headed for home and responsibility! I love these girls--friends don't come any better! Thanks Marisa for such a great event and thanks to Emily, Kristi, Trish, Emily, and Jessica for all the laughs! And, ladies, same time, same place sometime really soon?? Call me...

The night was all about beautiful girls and their fantastical wishes. Angelic faces, graceful movement, spunky, little spirits and wishes, wishes, wishes...
I love Natasha's dance recitals. Always have. I so appreciate those who are given the gift of expressing their souls through dance. And this night was no exception. The girls of Natasha's dance studio each wrote down their wishes. The teachers then choreographed lovely and fun numbers to express those wishes. And what did my precious wish for?? It's still a secret...
Thank you Grandma Keckley for flying out at the last minute to share these special times with Natasha. Thank you Mom and Dad, Kathy, Melinda and Calista for being there to support my baby. Always love to see you dance, Tash. Always...
