They're Creepy And They're Kooky, Mysterious And Spooky...

What else did we cram into our October?? Shayne flew "home" to visit his parents at their new river house in Virginia to help work on the remodeling and really enjoyed snarfing down some Maryland crabs and putting his hands to use other than making spreadsheets! While he was gone, I and the kiddos hosted Grammy Su and Grandpa Bar and the Greats Wakefield for Sunday dinner. Natasha whipped up that adorable pumpkin to wish her friend a happy birthday and designed the awesome centerpiece with nature surrounding our house...love that girl and her creativity!

Down And Down She Goes...

I don't know whether Fynnley likes to go to the pumpkin patch every year or if she just gets really excited about the idea of it but doesn't really love the actual event execution...because every year we go and she is pretty much in a funky mood and whining the entire time. Okay, so this year she did have a pretty bad cough to accompany her, but still...
Nonetheless, we showed up with the rest of her preschool class at Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove to have a morning of running through the hay maze, flying down the big slide on potato sacks, chasing after the farm animals in the petting pen (thanks dirty ducks for splashing your disgusting black water all over the back of Fynn's lovely, yellow dress...uh, yea, it is now ruined!), squishing as tightly as we could on the hayride over to the pumpkin patch and taking approximately 3.5 minutes to pick out the PERFECT pumpkin. Ah, good times, good times...??

These Boots Are Made For Walking...

Hundreds of theme-decorated pumpkins, lots of hay bales, a snack stand and bunches of families walking the designated path with students squealing in delight over the display of his/her pumpkin...yep, that about sums up the Legacy Elementary Annual Pumpkin Walk...
It was strange this year to only have two said pumpkins to ooh and ahh over (we missed our Tash's always creative entry!) but the boys did a great job personalizing their little, orange gourds and we loved checking them out!

Oh, The Weather Outside Is Frightful...

Seriously? October 26...6 inches of white stuff...two days later...68 degrees...this weather is whacked...
But Fynn didn't care! She just wanted to PLAY!! (for about 15 minutes...)

Let's Hear It For The Boys!

I saw a photo contest on a photography website last week asking people to submit photos of what they think of when "FALL" is mentioned...I thought about that and decided I would track down a package of Halloween Oreos (complete with orange creamy frosting) and submit an awesomely staged photo to win the contest. Of course, that never happened....why?? Because since I began my photo biz, what "FALL" really means to me is CRAZY BUSY!!! I have four kiddos involved in four different sports and juggling that with my biz has kept me HOPPING this season (oh, that reference is more apt for another season, I suppose!) So, here's my little floppy blond boy at his last flag-football game (first time he's given this sport a shot and I think he just might be hooked!)
