I Only Have Eyes For You

January always proves to be a slow month for me in the photography department. After cranking out lots of family photo sessions in the fall in preparation for Christmas cards, I'm always ready for a break. But, I've always wondered if people could identify their loved ones by just their eyes, hands or feet. I know, random. Nonetheless, I HAVE wondered this...
So, with not much going on during the frigid temps this month, I decided to construct a little game for my family to see who could identify all members of our family correctly. It was fun and gave a few people something to occupy their time during boring meetings...lol! Kathy was the winner!! (I think I still owe her a gift card prize!)
*Interesting fact: every single person in our family has blue eyes! Pretty cool!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Exactly one year ago, I was photographing a lovely pregnant lady and her dashing husband...outside...on the grass...Not so this year!! Hard to believe that was the weather then. And, now...we've had crazy cold temps this January! I'm talking single digits with a minus preceding them! Yowza! Amazing how your car doesn't want to run, and your nose just does on those yucky mornings...the kind of days where you want to stay bundled in bed and pray the rest of the world will continue to move on without you!
After several weeks of this, we finally got warmed up enough to melt that darn ice and *almost* see our cracking driveway once again. Then, BAM! Inches and inches..and INCHES of famous Utah powder dumped on our lovely valley. I figured, nothing to do but complain about it...and maybe take some fun photos of two really cute girls frolicking to their little hearts delight in it!
