2010 Carlsbad Week 1- MUCH NEEDED!

Carpenter Fam- 2010 Carlsbad Beach Vacation

What a fantastic time we had at the beach this year! We invited the Walkers, the Shippen's, and the Wright's to come spend a week with us in Carlsbad- and whoa- what a crew! We all meshed really well, the kids had a great time, and the weather was pretty decent. After arriving in Carlsbad on the 10th of July, the rest of the friends showed up by 5 pm and our FUN began! I have a million pictures on here, bear with me, I love the time we had, and I love pictures to capture the moments. I love these families! The parents are okay, but the kids are fabo! The week went by so fast, but we had a really great time! Til next year!

Kaden was always running back and forth...kicking sand, eating, and jumping back in the water!
Colton really wanted to do something to his Dad, but he simply doesn't have that in him!

Josie loved digging for sand crabs and finding sea shells.

This was the first year we have ever found whole shells on the beach- it was very exciting!

It was so fun to watch Rich and Kristin with their children. They are amazing parents together, I have so much respect for them both. They have just been married over a year, and it is great to see their love for each other and their children! I am so happy for them both! This picture makes my heart happy!

ULTIMATE FRISBEE

I think all of us wives' would agree that their was nothing more SEXY than watching our husbands play Ultimate Frisbee on the beach with their kids.

We SURE are lucky!

Cody was my pal all week long! He was such a joy. He didn't care for the water on day one. But, he and his Jen-Jen played and soon enough, he was comfortable enough to run down and jump over the little waves coming in!

He may kill me for this, but it is one of my favorite shots. You know how there are those things in life that make you laugh or drive you crazy- that you would just miss if you weren't around them.

This is simply just Chris.

We always bust up laughing when we show him something and he starts squinting his eyes.

Its just one of those things that remind me of my older brother.

Sophie was always in thought...and Cody was dying for her attention!

Claire had us all in stitches with this one. She was dragging her fanny down the sand.

Not just a foot or two, but all the way to the water. She would stop and look back at her drag marks, then smile.

She is one very funny little girl!

Kaden can be caught sleeping everyday at the beach.

He would play in the water, then eat, then play in the water.

Then...SLEEP FOR A FEW HOURS?!!!

It is funny to watch 5 and 6 year olds be so fascinated by a teenager.

And she was so patient with them.

For years now, Colton has wanted to bring Rob down to the beach, this was the perfect time! They had so much fun playing in the sand, playing on the sand, Frisbee Football, and boogie boarding! It was great to see them having so much fun!

Vacations are always way too short!
