Well, in case some you haven't heard yet I am pregnant! I am 19 weeks now, and we found out at 15 weeks that it was a BOY! I am due on May 1st, 2012.
My pregnancy has been pretty good so far. I hate to complain about the nausea and tiredness because some women have it way worse than I did. But, let's just say being pregnant isn't my favorite experience. I was pretty blah in my first trimester, but now I am feeling great. I have kept up on exercise. I mostly do zumba, treadmill, elliptical, and light weights. Hopefully this will help my pregnancy and post pregnancy body, but who knows! I am super excited to have a son, and to be a mom! Trent is going to be the.best.dad. sorry everyone, but really he will be the BEST! I love looking at his little profile on the ultrasound, he's going to be so cute!
Our parents and siblings are more than elated, as this will be the first grandchild. We have a few names picked out, but our #1 right now is ASHTON JOSEPH THACKER. Trent is a pretty picky name guy, so most likely this will stick, unless we see him and it really doesn't fit. Joseph is Trent's grandfather's name, my father's middle name, and Tyler's middle name(Trent's brother who passed away) was Joe, after Grandpa Thacker. We think we may call him AJ for short(once again, we will see if it fits). If this is the case then AJ was my great grandfather's name. So anyway, that's the name story!
We haven't been buying things yet- except for this little beauty...Santa loves me

Any suggestions on must haves are welcome, we feel so new at this stuff! But, so thrilled for the new journey in life.

No belly shots yet. We'll see if I ever want to post those...lol.

Arches

For UEA we took our first ever trip to Moab and Arches. We went with our best buds the Briggs family. We took the little trailer and stayed at a campground in Moab. We all stayed in our trailer, and I think we all still like each other! It was a lot of fun. We hiked as many of the arches as we could and Trent got to take the new truck on a four-wheeling trail. It's an awesome place, and I know we will go back again one day! Thanks for a great trip Ashley, Justin, and Owen!

Havasupai

Over Labor Day we hiked an area of the Grand Canyon and went to a beautiful place called Havasupai. You would not believe this little gem is in the middle of the desert. It is a 10 mile trek in, all down hill. Which is wretched on the way out, next time I am totally taking the helicopter out! Although I did pretty well considering I did the whole thing 6 weeks pregnant, and we knew that I was preggo. Total we estimated that we hiked about 26 or 27 miles, there's my marathon people! The only down fall is that everything I ate the whole trip, I still can't eat, it brings back bad memories. LOL. Anyway here are a bunch of pictures of the place there are tons of waterfalls to swim under, around, on, and jump off.

This is the beginning of our journey

This is the LDS church in Supai, pretty much the only place with a clean yard!

This is the first waterfall we came to, we were 1.5 miles from camp, but when we got here it was so hot we wanted to jump in!!

This is called Mooney Falls

You hike down a cliff to get to the bottom of Mooney Falls

This is the cliff, yes everyone survived!

We made it down. Now, its 3 miles of endless waterfalls down the river! If you look close enough you can see 3 different waterfalls in this picture alone.

The joke started to be "how cliche" us in front of yet another waterfall....

It's true love

We set up camp along the river.

Timp Cave

So I have lived in Utah almost all of my life and have never hiked timpanogos cave. So this summer we went. We have some friends that just moved here from Oregon, so we thought it would be fun to take them with us. It was really cool, and so pretty.

Strawberry Reservoir

Among the many things we did this summer we made our annual trip to Strawberry Reservoir with my family for the 24th of July. We had a pretty busy summer all together, I had youth conference, then we went to Fish Lake for the 4th of July(another annual trip-only with Trent's family), then Girls camp.
Since I graduated from hygiene school I have always worked 4 days a week, Monday and Wednesday for the awesome Dr. Duncan, and Tuesday and Thursday for another dentist. In April of this year Trent and I decided it was time for me to quit there, it was time for a change. So I have enjoyed have some Tuesdays and Thursdays off this summer. We will see if I ever go back to working 4 days a week. I have temped here and there and really like that too.
We also spent some of the summer with our house on the market and looking to buy a new house. The market isn't so hot right now, so we didn't have much luck in selling. So we have decided to stay put and ride out this economy stuff for a few more years.
So, instead of buying a house we bought...

I drive it most days because my commute is shorter, and I LOVE it. Trent loves it to, when I let him drive it :)
Also decided to upgrade the tv and repaint and decorate the downstairs! Its been a busy summer.
Here are some pictures of the trip to Strawberry.

Warm Weather Weekend

This weekend we decided to ditch the terrible snow that never ever ends, and head to St. George. It was 80 degrees and sunny down there! We enjoyed it! We spent as much time as possible outside. We hiked in Zions, flew kites, went for a long jog, ate ice cream on the patio, and of course went shopping! It was great, the only bad thing about it was that we came home today,

Happy Valentine's Day

I just wanted to post real quick and tell my wonderful wife how much I love her! She is not just my loving wife, but she is my best friend! I know I don’t tell her enough how much I love and appreciate her! I never could! She puts up with me when I am grumpy and have had a long day and supports me and is a good sport when I am gone for 5 days on business travel. I will never be able to repay her for what she has done for me but I don’t think she is keeping score, so I’m good!
I love you Babe!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
