For UEA we took our first ever trip to Moab and Arches. We went with our best buds the Briggs family. We took the little trailer and stayed at a campground in Moab. We all stayed in our trailer, and I think we all still like each other! It was a lot of fun. We hiked as many of the arches as we could and Trent got to take the new truck on a four-wheeling trail. It's an awesome place, and I know we will go back again one day! Thanks for a great trip Ashley, Justin, and Owen!
Havasupai
Over Labor Day we hiked an area of the Grand Canyon and went to a beautiful place called Havasupai. You would not believe this little gem is in the middle of the desert. It is a 10 mile trek in, all down hill. Which is wretched on the way out, next time I am totally taking the helicopter out! Although I did pretty well considering I did the whole thing 6 weeks pregnant, and we knew that I was preggo. Total we estimated that we hiked about 26 or 27 miles, there's my marathon people! The only down fall is that everything I ate the whole trip, I still can't eat, it brings back bad memories. LOL. Anyway here are a bunch of pictures of the place there are tons of waterfalls to swim under, around, on, and jump off.
This is the beginning of our journey
This is the LDS church in Supai, pretty much the only place with a clean yard!
This is the first waterfall we came to, we were 1.5 miles from camp, but when we got here it was so hot we wanted to jump in!!
This is called Mooney Falls
You hike down a cliff to get to the bottom of Mooney FallsThis is the cliff, yes everyone survived!
We made it down. Now, its 3 miles of endless waterfalls down the river! If you look close enough you can see 3 different waterfalls in this picture alone.
The joke started to be "how cliche" us in front of yet another waterfall....
It's true love
We set up camp along the river.
Had to cross this bridge to get to camp!
