Disneyland

This last Friday we packed our bags and headed down to CA with my parents and sister to go to Disneyland. Curtis thinks it is unfair that he didn't get to go to Disneyland for the first time until he was seventeen and Berkley is only 4 months (she is spoiled). We had a blast. It was fun to be there during Christmas. Everything was decorated for the holidays. Berkley was able to ride tons of rides and she loved every min of it. Pirates of the Caribbean was her favorite but she also got to ride dumbo, storybook books, train rides, Winnie the pooh, Alice wonderland, the haunted house and many more.

Image Saige was really excited to go, First because it was her B-Day and second because she was tall enough to ride all the rides in the park. She loved Splash mtn and Space mtn.

Image
Image Grandma and Grandpa loved being there with there grand kids and they loved being there with them.

Garrett also had a blast. He wanted to ride the trains ride over and over again. We are glad that Garrett shared his stroller with Berkley. She had fun riding with him

Berkley's Blessing

Time has flown by and berkley is already two months old. Today was her blessing day and we had some visitors. Her cousins Garrett and Saige were especially happy to get to hold her and hang out with her. She was such a good girl for the blessing she just slept peacefully the whole time. Thanks to all of the people who made the trip to be there for her on this special day. We had a great time hanging out with family and friends and Berkley had one of the biggest blessing circles that I have ever seen. Not to mention she looked adorable in her blessing dress which was the same dress that her mom was blessed in when she was a baby.

Happy Halloween

For halloween berkley is a balerina, and I might add a cute balerina at that.

Britney, Berkley and I had a fun night at Grandma and Grandpa Randall's house where we decorated pumpkins with Grandma, Grandpa, Saige, Garrett, and Jenny. I think Brit was more worried about getting Berkley to look at the camera than showing off our awsome pumpkin decorating abilities. Our pumpkin was pretty awesome though if you ask me.

Baby Berkley

Here are some picture of Berkley that we took when she 1 week old. We really have enjoyed having her in our lives. She keeps us on our toes and we have a hard time getting anything done because she loves to be cuddled and held all the time.

Tido has really been a good Dog since Berkley has come. He takes naps with her and enjoys smelling her. We really are grateful that they get along. Hopefully they stay friends.

Updates on the House

Sorry I have not been a big Blogger this summer. I have been busy getting ready for Berkley and finishing some projects at home. Here are some picture of what we have accomplished.

Here is a picture of our house when we bought it

Image
Here is what it looks like today. We have the garage almost finished and 2 weeks ago we install grass in the front yard. It looks great. I really have enjoyed having the greener yard.

Image
Curtis finally got his 2 deer mounts back this last month. He has been waiting for forever. He loves sitting in the living room looking of at them. I don't mind them but they are huge (He says that's the point) . I think they need a bigger wall to be on.

Image
Here is a picture of Berkley's room, I love how the stripped wall turned out. It took a couple days but was worth it in the end. Curtis picked out the pink color on the walls. He loved that the name of the paint was "Daddy's little girl"

Here are some more that we have from the weekend and don't worry there is lots more to come. I am Slowly recovering and getting better day by day and love being a mom. Thanks for all the help I have had from family and friends this last weekend. It really has helped Curtis and I out a lot.

Baby Berkley is Here

After a pretty intense labor full of twists and turns that lasted from two in the morning until six forty three in the afternoon, Berkley finally made it to us. She is a seven pound nine ounce twenty inch beautiful baby girl. She slept the entire first night minus the two times she woke up to eat. She has hardly cried at all the entire day today. We might be a little bit prejudice but we think she is the cutest little girl there has ever been. You can be the judge when you see the pictures.

We can finally feel the baby move!!!

Just a little update! Britney went up to wyoming for a few days to visit her sister. When she came home Berkley had grown quite a bit and we can now feel her wiggling around. Britney feels her a lot now but she has to get really rambunctious for me to feel her. I have definately felt her a couple of times now though and it is exciting and fun to watch her grow and get bigger. Although if you ask Brit she is not too impressed with the whole growing and getting bigger part. All in all we are just excited for the time to pass and to get her here so we can hold her and play with her.

Berkley Elizabeth Roundy

Today Curtis is Proud to say that he is a father to a little Girl. He just wants everyone to know that it is okay to say you are wrong and he is right about it being a Girl. For you that don't know, Curtis has been calling this baby a Girl (Berkley) since we found out we where pregnant. We never where even aloud to talk about Boy Names. All our family and friends told him that he turned it into a boy. That there was no way we where having a girl now but Curtis just wants everyone to know that it is a Girl. Curtis wants to thank the few people that supported him during these last few weeks about it being a girl.

Image

This is the 3D ultrasound picture we where able to get.

Image

Here is the picture that showed that it is Berkley.

Image

During the ultrasound we watch Berkley jump up and down on my bladder and she also stuck her tongue out at us a couple of times. She never could sit still for very long and the sad thing is that I really can't feel her move yet. I watched her move everywhere on the ultrasound but still couldn't feel her move. I know it is only a matter of time.

We are super excited to finally know what we are having. It makes it easier to go shopping and to start planning for Berkley's arrival.

Last Chance to Vote

Tomorrow is the ultrasound to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. So last chance to put your vote in. Curtis would really like some support that it is a girl. So look back tomorrow to find out what we are having. We are getting way excited.

2010 Fishing Tournaments off to a good start

Image
This year I (Curtis) am fishing American Bass Association tournament series. I fish with Lance Goulding. We started the year off with a bang. In our first tournament of the year we took second place. We had a lot of fun and caught a lot of fish. Our fish total for the day was around 100 fish between the two of us. We also caught some really big fish. The second cast of the day I hooked into a 4.5 pound Largemouth Bass. Then about an hour later lance caught a 3.5 lb fish. We knew that we needed to upgrade these fish to a size or two bigger to have a chance at winning. We had jokingly told each other a few times that it was the other persons turn to catch an upgrade, it was at one of these challenges that lance hooked a fish and it was looking like a big fish. We didn't see it until it was at the surface and ready to be netted. It was an absolute monster fish. It ended up being the big fish of the tournament. Then about ten minutes later lance called the same call out for an upgrade and sure enough I hooked into another big fish. It ended up being the fourth big fish of the tournament. We were sitting pretty good at this point. The big fish is a 7.03lb fish and the smaller but still really big fish is a 5.49lb fish. We were way excited and when we ended the tournament we ended up being in 2nd place out of 13 teams, with only three out of a possible of 5 fish because of the lake regulations. It was a lot of fun and we ended up winning 880 dollars that we split between the two of us.
In our sec0nd tournament it was bad weather and we got rained on for about four hours but we fished hard and at the end of the day we ended up 6th place out of 33 teams. We didn't get any pictures of the fish that we weighed at this tournament, because of the weather we just got the fish weighed and got out of the water where we could get dry and warm up. But we didn't catch anything quite as good as in the first tournament our best fish was 4.30lb's. We won 330 dollars on this tournament that we split between the two of us. We had a lot of fun even though the weather was not very good.
Keep checking back for more info on the next tournaments of the year. Hopefully we can keep up the winnings

Warmer Weather

This weekend, me and my parents traveled down to Yuma to visit my sister and family. We played all weekend and on Saturday we went to Saige's Soccer Game. She did a great job.

Image
Saige had the best cheering crew during the game. Jen bought us all t-shirts with her name on the back. We wore them to lunch, the game and then out for Ice Cream after.

Image

One of the best parts about the weekend was that there was no snow at all. The weather was in the 80's every day. I tried to work on my tan but didn't have enough time.

Image
Grandpa and Garrett really became best friends this weekend. Garrett knows who will spoil him and who makes him go to bed.

Updates

I know that it has been a long time since i have blog and I am sorry for that but I am going to catch you all up with the Big Stuff. We had a great Christmas in Cedar with my parents, everyone was able to make it so we had a blast. Curtis got a break from School and don't worry he was able to get out and go fishing. This is a Trout that he was able to catch Ice Fishing. He is really proud of this picture.
ImageWe also had a Pinewood Derby contest in our University Ward. It was family against each other. Ours wasn't the fastest but we really had a fun time making it. Ours is the Brown one 2nd over from the Left.

ImageI have to show you a Picture of the Deer that I killed this year. I am really proud of this Deer because Kyle and I found it and killed it without any help. Curtis was really proud. He didn't think we would find a deer, let alone Kill one. I will never forget this deer because after we killed it and stood over it admiring its majesty and huge antlers, we then looked at each other and said do you know how to gut a deer because i don't!!!!! So we both had our first lesson on how to gut a deer together with the help of Randy over the phone. It only took about 70 mins.

Image
Saige Really liked the deer horns. She showed me where they belong on a Deer. I love this Picture. Image
I know that here are many pictures of the house that we need to update also. We are slowly getting everything back together and we are also getting ready to gut and redo the downstairs Bathroom. I will be happy when that project gets all done. So I promise not to take this long to Blog again.
