What does it mean to be a Destination District? It means that students, families, and employees choose the Clark County School District because they believe in what is possible here!
We will reach our Destination when we see:
- Increased student outcomes and enrollment;
- Employees who feel respected, safe, fulfilled, and committed; and
- Community stakeholders who feel included and support CCSD’s priorities.

For years, the Clark County School District (CCSD)’s primary challenge was managing rapid growth.
Today, like most large school districts across the nation, we are navigating the realities of declining student enrollment driven by lower birth rates and more school options.
It is precisely because the landscape is shifting that we need a clear, intentional path forward.
Operation: Destination District is our blueprint for transforming CCSD into a district that students, families, and educators choose because they know what is possible here.

Regular meetings of the Board of School Trustees are held the second and fourth Thursday of each month beginning at 5:00 p.m. and Work Sessions are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. Meetings are subject to change. All meetings can be viewed on live stream at ccsd.net on the day of the meeting. Special board meetings are held when necessary and are posted in advance in accordance with the Nevada open meeting law.
