November Saturday at the beach

Halloween is always a hit with the kids--surprise, surprise. I do love pumpkin carving and dressing up the kids, but not the excess sugar so much. This year it took them a while to decide but they finally settled on something a week or so in advance--butterfly for Josie, green train for Sam, and lady bug for Evelyn (chosen by Josie). Little kids always look darling dressed up and we had a great time trick-or-treating with Ben and Alex in Los Gatos--an optimal choice as it was during the day and Clint got in on a red-eye that day.

labor day and other news

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend--Oakland Zoo, hike and picnic in redwood forest, tide pools, and then a relaxing Monday. We could use more three day weekends--not sure they get much better. In other news, we bought a house. Closed mid-September and we move mid-December. Salt Lake City. Means fewer nights with Clint away. For that I can move anywhere.

peterson family time

Living in California continues to allow us to see many members of the Peterson family. Ben and Alex have lived near us since July, we've been house hunting in Utah (Salt Lake City bound in December), and we participated in the annual August gathering in Woodside. Again, can't say enough about the wonderful cousins, aunts, and uncles my children have on both sides of the family. Such a blessing.
