Happy Birthday Judah

Judah turned 6 years old on Thursday.

We celebrated with an ice cream party this year.

Here were a few of the topping choices.

Judah got some great gifts from family.

We did not have candles, so he made a wish

and ate the cherry off of his sundae.

This is how we found the boys sleeping the other night.

October Fun

Pumpkin Carving

The individual pictures of the kids show their reactions to

cleaning out the pumpkin.

We dressed up this year and visited Ma

and her friends at The Maples. This was the

first time Asher has visited the nursing home

without crying.

10 Years Together

To celebrate ten years of marriage, we went

on a "second honeymoon." We took a zip line tour

in the Smoky Mountains....

...and visited the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.

We enjoyed our time away and are grateful to Levi's

parents for keeping all three children!

Bracelets

Audrey loves jewelry. She is drawn to ladies with

necklaces and big earrings. She has even created

her own 'bracelets' from ponytail holders.

She is happiest when all of the 'bracelets' are on her arm.

She even wears them while doing chores.

Nanny and Papa came to watch Judah's acting debut.


He was an excellent pirate.

After all, he has had years of practice!

First Day of Kindergarten

Judah had an eye exam before starting school.

He is farsighted and needs his glasses for reading.

Glasses are to be "in the case or on your face" - that

is what his Mama keeps telling him!

Judah is excited about going to school and not having

to "listen to Asher count all the time." Asher is excited

that Judah won't be around to pester him. Audrey

doesn't want Judah to go!

Two crazy guys!

Judah will be going to a small Lutheran school

this year. He will be in a multi-grade classroom

(K-2nd), so we expect that he will be challenged

academically.

Summer Summary

Here's a snapshot of our summer.

We participated in Parent/Baby Dedication at our church.

April has been hosting themed dinners this year.

Judah enjoyed dressing up like his daddy for

"Company with Chemistry."

Audrey took her first steps (actual photo!) on June 8th,

but didn't start walking full time until about a month later.

We spent Independence Day with family and

took our first complete Simpson family photo.

We had lots of visits from Nanny.

We met new friends and went swimming.

Double Date

The boys had their first "movie" experience today.

We have been waiting for this movie to come out for months...


We were not disappointed!

Family Vacation

We took a mini-vacation to Branson last weekend.

Since our little 'lady' is one, we had a ladybug theme.

Dentist

Both boys went to the dentist this month.


It was Asher's first time.

After he warmed up to Ms. Julie, things went fine.

A few weeks after Asher's visit, Judah went to see Ms. Julie.

He's grown a bit since the last time he was in a dental chair.
