New Features
- Now you can choose light mode or dark mode right inside CheckBook Pro: Go to CheckBook Pro > Settings… and look for Appearance under your color settings, near the top of the window.
Fixes
- Prevents a crash that can occur when you dismiss the Schedule Reminder.
- Nixes a glitch that could lead to a hang in the To, From, and Description boxes.
- Corrects a mistake in Summary that could lead to incorrect subtotals.
- Corrects a layout error in Summary that could prevent some subtotals from drawing.
- Restores support for using the Enter key to click the OK button in Entry sheets.
- Corrects an issue that could prevent dragging by the window background after resizing the Accounts sidebar.
Changes
- The Accounts sidebar now behaves more like the Accounts drawer in CheckBook Pro 2, expanding away from your columns instead of covering them.
- Future Entries can now be full-intensity, if you so choose: Go to CheckBook Pro > Settings… and slide the Future Entries slider, above the checkboxes near the bottom of the window, all the way to the right.

I only wish on split entries I could put in a total first and then do the individual entries like on Quicken. When doing a lot of items this would make things easier.

It's a great home account tracking tool. I haven't used the budgeting functionality much yet and it looks like the documentation is still pending for that. The app can be a little clunky at times, but it does the job and is very useful for tracking transactions. I do wish the reporting was a little more flexible and dynamic with date ranges. I will look to update once I've used v3 a bit more.
Overall a solid choice. I've been using it for well over a decade now.

After getting frustrated by the all encompassing and overly complicated (and expensive) other products I purchased my first copy of CheckBook Pro in 2008 (yes, eighteen years ago) and have been happy ever since. I keep track of our family income and expenses in one file and our author business in a separate file. Simple, direct and consistent I strongly recommend CheckBook Pro to all that want to track income and expenses using an affordable, reliable and simple to use application.

Saved my butt when my MacBook Pro upgraded itself and Quicken Desktop for Mac stopped working. Does almost everything I need and loved about Quicken. Just wish it did reports.

Long time user of Checkbook Pro. It's the easiest financial software I've ever used. Still would love to see an I-Pad version but I guess I'll have to wait for that. Thanks for all the hard work you do to make monitoring financial transactions pleasant. Thanks.

I have been a happy user since 2005. In all that time there has been one paid upgrade to V3 and numerous maintenance fixes. I occasionally look at the alternatives, some of which have better visual design, but none offer the ease of use and functionality of CheckBook Pro. Looking forward to the now promised iOS version.
