Adam and Cyndi Cheney Christmas Card

Merry Christmas 2009

Image

Well it’s that time of year again, when you get the written letter with the whole family expose, and the testimonial at the end…This year we moved from our home in St. George to Hurricane. At first we were nervous to leave behind such a wonderful neighborhood and friends that have been so pivotal to our lives, and continue to be so, to go to a new place where everything was so different. The new ward and neighborhood have been great, we have been able to keep in contact with old friends and have begun wonderful new relationships. We are all happy, healthy and still loving life & each other.

Okay now the cheesy updates on family members and occupational info: Adam is now full time with his cabinet shop as well as working for a boys home weekend nights. He has spent the last few months serving as the Young Men’s President for our new ward and loves it. He gets to play scouting to his hearts content. He has decided that beards are in this winter and his lovely wife and children have been unable to convince him otherwise. He still loves the gospel and his family with all of his heart and loves all of the wonderful things that they teach him. He can’t think of a better day than any one with his family.

Cyndi is still doing the odd jobs here and there and has been watching 4 kids during the day…no we don’t have 4 she is watching an additional group added to our three. She continues to show her amazing patience and love as she serves her family by working so hard for them. Cyndi serves as the bear/wolf/all around cub lady for the ward. She has continued to be a twilight fanatic with her crazy friends. She is still book clubbing, face booking, home making and child taxiing like a pro. Cyndi has continued to show what an amazing mother she is as she teaches and guides her family with love. It is evident the love and charity she shows by the love
her family has for her.

Brycen has truly developed into a fascinating young man. He is constantly reading books, he reads all the time, even when he’s should to be sleeping. Along with his physical growth Brycen has really come into his own spiritually and has developed a keen sense of humor, (his sisters would beg to differ) He has a gift for loving people. His inquisitive mind never stops, anyone who has ever spent time with him will attest to his constant gathering of knowledge and his boundless curiosity. He started Karate and is loving it. Watching him practice is hilarious…as most boys grapple and fight with stern looks of concentration, Brycen is continually grinning…even when he’s on the bottom of the pile. He has also kept up with his
cub scouts and piano playing.

Our Dear lovely Jena is truly a sight to behold. She is a blue eyed blond haired bundle of fun. She has a smile that could melt the coldest of hearts and magic hugs and kissed that keep her mom and dad warm. Her mischievous looks when she catches us teasing or tricking her are fantastic. Jena also has been doing Karate, her teachers call her the little tiger as she takes down boy and girls twice her age and size. Jena loves to try on her mothers shoes and practice make up with mom and plays with many, many friends. She is doing great on the piano and is very excited to be getting into dance this next year.

Lilly has grown as well. She is also a beautiful blue eyed blond like her sister. She takes control of every situation & bosses her brother and sister, not to mention mother and father around. She is adorable from the moment she wakes up to the quiet times when we find her hiding quietly behind the counter or in the closet eating a snack.
She melts her parents hearts whenever she asks to
‘nuggle’ (snuggle) with us.

We feel an immense joy at this time of the year, for our family and all that we have been blessed with through the past year. We are grateful for friends & family, the blessing you have been to us. We feel a love for our Savior that has grown and developed this year. We thank you and our Savior for all that we have been blessed with this year and look forward to many more to come.

Love,
Adam, Cyndi, Brycen, Jena & Lilly Cheney

Snow Day

Can you believe we had snow in St. George. Not just the few flakes we see every year, but a couple of inches. We played for hours and hours. The kids were very excited. The best part was school was canceled. Don't laugh I know we only had a couple of inches, but it took time to melt and their are no plows. Image We made a snowman. The neighbors dressed theirs up as a BYU fan, so of course I had to dress mine up as a UTAH fan. The neighbors snowman fell down by the end of the day. Ours stayed up for over a week. HA HA HA

First time in the snow. Lilly wasn't sure what to think.

Image Cutest snow baby ever!!

The boys made their fort in our yard.

Image The girls made it in the neighbors.
They hid in them as they threw snowballs at each other.

Image I never thought I would see so much snow. Look at the palm trees.

Twilight the Movie

Image TWILIGHT
Image We waited for hours and hours to get the best seats in the house. The movie was worth all the wait. Will see it again and again. LOVED IT!

ImageHaving fun with our Awesome FREE flowers. Never laughed so hard in my life.

ImageMarie, Alyssa, Dacia, Kari, and ME. Showing off our Edward shirts. We look cool, oh yes we do.

Image The whole gang. We were second in line. We ate food, played, laughed, and laughed all night long. The night was cold but we stayed warm because we had so much energy and excitement for the movie. Had the time of my life. Will do it again for New Moon.
