Tea with the Ladies...and the ladies' man.

Yesterday was a lovely morning spent at Claudette's house. A table filled with delicious cream-filled things and crackers and spreads made with eggplant and egg salad and shrimp. It was delicious and lots of enjoyable fun. Esther played Playmobil upstairs and Stephen made good use of Chelsea's toys downstairs. It was fun! I am having a tea as soon as I get back! And also, we're going to be meeting at the park since it's SPRING!

Stained Glass and Korfbal

Gouda's St. John's Church De Sint Janskerk

We had a nice afternoon in Gouda. The train ride is only about ten minutes and the walk to the city center is nice. We waved at the road that leads to our ward building and stopped one more time along the way for some fries with peanut sauce. The stained glass were pretty. I like all the depictions of stories not just from the New Testament but also the Old Testament. We saw that Jesus was not being baptized by immersion but that the Father was watching from above and we saw the Holy Ghost descending as a dove. It was still a very beautiful picture.

Then we went to see Remmert play korfbal. It was a very unusual game until I began to understand some of the rules. Remmert is so fast that even at age 7 he shines.

We celebrated with poffertjes afterward.
