Dino Birthday Party
Carter absolutely LOVES dinosaurs so I knew that he would love having a super fun Dino party for his birthday. We invited all the family and had lots of fun things to do. I asked Carter how old he would be turning and this is the picture I got from it. Got to love little boys!
Before the party started I told carter that we needed to decorate and he said he wanted to decorate the party with his dinosaurs, so this is what he did. I think he had a career ahead of him. It looked pretty cute.
Once everyone arrived we decorated gift bags with all kids of Dino stuff and the kids loved putting stickers and stamps everywhere. Then we headed outside to "pin the T-rex skull" on its fossil, help the mommy T-rex put her eggs back in her nest with a relay race wearing dino masks and dino feet.

After that Nate told the kids that while he was doing yard work her found a bone in the yard. He knew it was not a dog or deer bone so it must have been a dinosaur bone. Each kid had a roped off section for their dig so we could discover what dino the bones belonged to (thanks Kristin for the idea). They had a blast digging and brushing off the bones. Uncle Pat and Uncle Ben (the Doctor's) helped them put the bones together. It was a T-Rex!

While they were putting the dino back together the Volcano erupted! Nate built an amazing volcano that erupted, blasted off its top and then was a holding spot for each kid to do a Diet coke/Mentos eruption. It was pretty cool!

My amazing sister came up with names and created super cute labels for all the food. It looked so cute!

After we ate we opened presents and Carter got a ton of great stuff. Cowboy gear, dump trucks, Dinosaurs, Sports stuff and a new bike.

Carter has been super excited to have cake for his birthday. Nate of course wanted to make something cool! So we each made a cake for him. It was fun to do. Nate and I are not cake people, so the cake probably did not taste good, but it looked good and was fun to do. Nate made an amazing volcano cake with smoke coming out of it and everything edible except some toy dinosaurs. It was so cool!
