Dear Mom,
Happy Mother's Day! I know you are traveling home today from seeing family in Utah. I do hope you get a chance to rest before back to work on Monday. It seems only appropriate that you are with family on Mother's Day. I know that there is nothing more important to you than family.
All my life you have been an example to me of so many things--hard work, creativity, life long learning and growing, selflessness, but of all the great things that you are, I appreciate most your dedication to your family. There is nothing that you wouldn't do for us, with us, or because of us. Our education, or talents and activities, our own families, our successes, our heartbreaks, you have always been there for us in everyway we needed you.
This year for Mother's Day, I'm giving you this blog so that you can record some of the wonderful things you do, the places you go, projects you are working on, insights you have, or whatever you would like to record and remember. Most of us live far away from you, so this will be great for us.
Thank you for all the many things you have taught me and the example that you are to me. I am who I am because of you. I think you are really great.
I love you,
Jessica
